As much as I like her, I don't think she has the same appeal as AJ. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see the baby

LOVE her, but she isn't tabloid fodder as she is normal and and she doesn't have a very famous relationship to recommend her either but she is still one of my faves.

It's a blessing in disguise. Look what happened to Britney and Angelina. I mean they can't even go to the bathroom without an announcement. She should just enjoy it and leave it to people like Nicole Ritchie who are only famous by association and let them milk the price to tabloids. Use this time to bond with baby take a little time off and be a good wife and then get back to the recording studio and make a good album.

besides, theres some magazines/newspaper are only interested in selling scandalous at any cost. and some celebs are just not that interesting.. if some of them wanna keep it on the down low, thats a good thing.

I love her but everyone likes drama. That is why you see people who watch celebrities and know about THE celebrity more than their own family. It's the drama, knowing someone is more screwed up than you are or just being nosey.

It doesn't surprise me, but that's only because she isn't a regular tabloid topic. People aren't that interested in her because she doesn't have scandal, and therefore money, in the mere mention of her name. Angelina has the "Jen" thing that people will never let go of, and Britney is just a walking media circus.

If I were her, I'd be thankful that my name isn't just a magazine's main selling point.

It's a little saddening that she is trying to sell pics of her newborn to a tabloid mag IMHO.

cnyc - i agree. she should be happy that people aren't clamoring all over her and are prying into her personal life. but overall she is very talented and will be succesful in the business for a long time. i think since she doesn't have any drama or turmoil in her life at the moment it may not make her appealing in the tabloids- hence the low magazines sales.

Eh...her previous covers probably went up against some stupid Britney story....otherwise it probably would have sold better. Personally i hate that all these stars sell their pictures and stories...blech!

There is no controversy with her so no one will buy. However, I do think photos of the baby would sell magazines.

I'm so bored to hear about Britney. It would be really nice to read about Christina for change and specially to see few photos of her little baby boy Max.

I think it's silly that OK! wouldn't buy a story on Christina and her baby! She's one of the hottest stars who is talented and has her sh*t together! It just shows that the public and these magazines are more interested in someone with controversy. What happened to wanting to read or write about todays real role models??!

shoot the rate brit and the chaotic traffic she brings..i will pick up a christina article any day shes a breath of fresh air to me.

I never buy magazines with baby stories on the cover. And if I happen to buy one with a baby story in it, I usually skip that part. I'm just not at all interested in celebrities and there babies. VERY boring in my opinion.

Her husband, Bratman is boyish and NOT hot. And, she historically dons far too much makeup; she is worse than some of the "makeup artists" at the M.A.C counter. While I don't dislike her per se, I don't think she has the appeal of some of her peers.

The problem is that these celebs are all trying to outdo each other and see who can command the highest amounts for pics of their baby. It never used to be like this. I mean at least Brad and Angie give the money to charity. Sorry Christina your baby ain't no Shiloh!

Im surprised. I like christina - I would like to see the new addition to her family. Most people are drawn to drama so they will read about Britney's melt down before Christina's joy.

I, personally, LOVE to read about Christina's life (not EVERY detail) but I mean, it's nice to read her talking about just about anything. It's interesting for me to read someone who has a brain and has something decent to say. PLUS: I think she is super cute and takes amazing photo's.
To answer the question, I'm sadly not surprised. She is one of the few who lives a normal life. With that sad, many magazines don't care because they are not making headlines ever few minutes (Britney, I'm referring to you). It's pretty sad though because magazines should be paying money to good stories + I think her sons pictures should be worth lots of $$$. I mean it's a celebrity baby after all. Why wouldn't magazines want to pay big bucks? I just think it's sad because she's such an amazing singer so the fact people don't want to dedicate a full cover to her is beyond me!

I like reading about her and I'm thinking the reason her covers aren't selling is because she's cleaned up her act and there's not a lot of drama surrounding her. It's sad, and I think that says a lot about Hollywood.

I don't care one bit. Not only would I not buy the magazine, I doubt I would even pick it up while waiting at the checkout line to look at the pictures.

I'd definitly skim through the magazine but why buy it when you can see the pictures online and basically read the entire interview.

So am I the only one that is honestly surpised that she is trying to sell the photo's anyways? With the fact that she never even wanted to CONFRIM her pregnancy, it surpises me that she even wants people to see her little bundle of joy. But I adore her as I'm sure everyone knows since I say that on EVERY Christina post and not just because our names are the same

She has a great voice, but I find her REALLY uncharismatic. To me, she comes off as being insincere and cold. I say that as the casual celeb interest reader, not like her ultimate anti-fan. I would have absolutely no interest in seeing her child, though I do wish her well as a mother.

It's not that she doesn't have apeal - it's that she's not as SENSATIONALISTIC as the others. To me that makes me like her even better.

I don't get why she didn't want to confirm her pregnancy, but now she wants money for photos. In any case, the reason her covers don't sell is that she is talented but a bit boring...in the same way that most of us are boring. She isn't on drugs, manages to wear underwear, and is happily married. If Christina from her scandalous "dirty" years had a baby back then, well she might have gotten her cover.

Not really, for two reasons.

One is that, altho she has a kick ass voice, she just isnt as sensational as other celebrities (due to the fact that she totally avoids all the drama)

The second is that I think her apperance kind of turns a lot of people off. The hair, the skin, the make up - its a little out of control.

Maybe she should re do the pictures and try a more natural look in them and see if they sell better. I mean she wears as much make up to the grocery store as she wears on stage.

Word on the street is that she looks hideous without the make up so she hides behind it.

BTW - I think the is she/isn't she game that she played in the beginning backfired on her. By the time the magazine covers came along people didn't care or were sick of it.

I like her and think she's crazy talented and she seems to know how to stay out of trouble..so of course that isn't going to sell covers.

But, I have to agree with some of the others about her make up. She is never caught outside without at least 5 layers of it on. The make up doesn't even make her look all that good so don't understand why she constantly wants to look like a clown. JMO!!

If she chilled on the makeup and got a gross baby daddy with lots of drama she would have that cover stat!

I agree with Vinnie. I love Christina, she is one of my favorites, but by the time she actually was on the cover of MC in full preggo glory no one cared. If she had given them the exclusive when all the buzz was going then the mag would have been a sell out. Now we all want to see baby Max, but she needs to hurry up. Don't play it like TomKat...pics of Suri took way too long.

I voted No — She doesn't have the same appeal as Angelina or Britney. Even back in the day of her "dirty" period she was not appealing at all and always wanted (maybe not, but it seems like she tried to or at least her image team tried to copy the image of Britney in any way with Christina, I think it didn't work at all for her) to be like a clone of Britney. Britney begins to be more sexy in her songs and in her look, Christina followed in that same path, but in more cold and extreme way than Britney. It didn't work for her sadly.

She always been the shadow of Britney even until today (even for the kiss between Madonna, Britney and her back in 2003). She seems to never had her own personality (image) since her debut, that everybody will want to follow and copy, like Britney has or had before her chaotic life. Sad, because she should be the real big star she deserves to be for a long long time. She has definitely the voice (since the Mickey Mouse Club and maybe before). Maybe it's simply not her time yet to really shines in the Hollywood sky. Who knows...

That's was my mini-analysis that I wanted to share with all of you.
