I hope the media will listen. I have to applaud popsugar and one other site though...for tasteful and respectful reporting without sensationalizing. My heart aches for Michelle, Matilda, and the Ledger family. I cannot imagine what they are going through.

Ouch...my heart hurts...that brought me to tears both for Michelle and Matilda. I can't imagine my own son (who is just a bit older than Matilda) growing up without his father. How daunting and heart-breaking for Michelle to be the sole parent of such a young child. The statement is beautifully written and full of sincerity. My heart goes out to all those personally impacted by his death. I obviously did not know him and I am deeply saddened by his passing (especially looking at it from a parent's perspective) - I cannot imagine the sorrow felt by his loved ones.

To GlowingMoon: my understanding is that while they were broken up, they were both adamant about being good and involved parents to Matilda and that there really was never any source of contention between them. I think they had come to an agreement as to how to raise their daughter together while not actually being together.

Yes they were broken up but that didn't mean she didn't still love him, they had a child together.

Buffy210, it's the last film he completed, but he was also working on a project with Terry Gilliam. Actually, I've heard that Sean Penn, Jake Gyllenhaal and Christian Bale have offered to help finish the film. There was also talk about Johnny Depp being involved. Apparently, Heath’s character falls into a magic mirror four times during the film and they're thinking about using that as an explanation as to why he changes his appearance.

This is abolutely heartbreaking; It's clear that Michelle Williams still loved Heath as he was the father of her child. I'm very happy for Michelle and Heath's family that they have little Matilda. In the midst of all that grief it must be great comfort and consolation to have Heath's little girl warming their hearts. My thoughts are with all of them.

Wow, like everyone else, I couldn't even imagine going through what Michelle is dealing with. My thoughts and prayers are with Michelle, MAatilda and Heath's family.

I truly wasn't expecting such words in a statement. That was very beautiful and touching. I'm glad there is someone who can remind people of Heaths beautiful spirit.

It makes me so sad, My own father died when i was 2 1/2 and i have no memories of him at all, matilda wont remember heath and that is very rough believe me. I have to live through others memories and that has never been enough for me.
