10From the report on CNN headline news, it seemed as if the employee of Oprah was saying very negative, possibly true things about Oprah, not Harpo. Oprah is on AC tonight y'all but I'm about to watch a movie so I'll catch it online later. Watched part of it on CNN already.
Summary: everything in Oprah's life include her being sexually assaulted repeatedly as a child (and having a baby that died), her bad relationships, her working to get an education has led to this moment in her life. People criticize and ask why she didn't do the same in the U.S., but she dismisses that, saying that whatever we say about schools in the U.S., we have to realize that we HAVE a school system. 150 million girls in the world have no education because their families can only afford to send the boys. For some of the girls in her school, that's the case. A lot of girls in her school were also sexually abused repeatedly (these are 12-13 year olds no less!) and a very strong desire to learn, which Oprah identifies with.
