I only wish the best for Amy Winehouse!!!

Well she looks better now that her hair is back to black, I wish her luck with recovery.

There is no doubt that she is talented and can put out good music, so I think she deserves to be recognized for that. But I think for sure she needs to have someone there to keep her in check. She should have a few people there keeping her in check. Id say if she goes with someone from the rehab center and her mom and dad, she will be fine.

i dont know because i think backstage and at the parties they have lots of stuff that she should'nt be dabbling in. i hope she comes out on top of this as its such a waste of talent to let some drug ruin her life, is it really worth it? theres so many wanna bs in the bussiness who she has twice as many talents as and shes letting it go. i know it seems stupid to say just being in rehab for a few weeks, days whatever but her skins noticeably better already to me.

What are her priorities? Getting clean and sober or going to an award show/party?

She looks gross...she needs to check right back into rehab.

That is a SOUND decision, Amy. You don't worry about getting clean, being healthy is obviously not that important to you anyways. Sheesh!

I don't think it's a good idea. Does anyone remember her walking around with her bra on in the middle of the street? She should not be leaving rehab where she's trying to get better, just for the Grammy's. I think it's sad that they are even suggesting she should. People I know that have been in rehab have give it at least 30 days, and sometimes that isn't even enough. But as Renees3 mentioned, who am I to judge...just don't think it's a good idea.

Well...i think she is doing great in rehab and YES she looks better! Still...this is HER year for nominations and such...and i think that she should be at the grammys with several "minders" to keep her in check. Get her there...get her awards and get back home to rehab.

as messed up as she is with drugs and her marriage - i think that it's great that she's going to be able to go to the grammy's. since she's up for great awards -and it's her first time there - i think that it's a wonderful thing and i'm happy that the embassy is giving her this chance. i just hope that she is mature about the partying after the ceremony and chooses to go home to her room instead of out to a big shindig

Amy has such potential for a fantastic career. I hope she gets her act together soon.

This girl is so very talented, and it's been a lot more heartbreaking from where I'm sitting to watch her spiral down unlike some of the other breakdowns that have been occuring lately.

I'm in agreement with those who think this is a bad idea to let her go, even with minders and her parents (whom by all appearances have been doing nothing BUT working towards getting her to see her problems and deal with them). I mean, she could just do a taped acceptance speech thing that I've seen other stars who win awards but can't attend the show for one reason or another, or a via satalite thing.

Dealing with her demons and getting healthy is a thousand times more important than a statue any day.

I'm not 100% behind the idea, but if she is truly in the care of people that are looking out for her sobriety, then as I said before, I wish Amy Winehouse only the best.

Its a good idea to me.
There shouldn't be any problems if her chaperon pays enough attention/ helps her to watch her actions so she can steer clear of drugs and such while there. I know she's old enough to take care of herself but that obviously didn't work. Give the girl a chance, she may just turn it around for good. I hope so.
Anyways, she's looking better to me already.

I think it would be okay as long as the chaperone is on her case 24/7 and she returns to the UK immediately following the Grammys (in my mind that means no afterparties!). She is looking much better and cleaner in those pics than she has in a long long time so I have a small hope that she's making enough progress in rehab to take a carefully monitored break.

I love her music so much...I'm really rooting for her! It probably would be better for her to stay in rehab, but maybe being recognized for her music will help her stay on track. Now, if only she'd get rid of that husband of hers...

Yes, she's back to her normal hair color and her beehive! lol. I think that this is a good thing for Amy. She will have to do the responsible thing since she's with a chaperon and she won't have to miss the awards, which would be a terrible shame. And if she doesn't behave, she probably won't get another visa to perform or promote herself in the US for some time. That seems like enough of a weight to hold over her head.

no. rehab should be the ONLY thing on her mind right now. putting anything else first isn't going to work. she'll be the next one committed to a psych ward.

She hasn't been in rehab very long. I think it would be better for her health to stay put and concentrate on getting clean and healthy. She's got the talent, she can get her life on track and then wow everyone at the Grammy's next year.

She might as well go, who nows how long she'll be around. It could very well be her last Grammy show... Don't mean to sound morbid, but come on, if she was committed to her rehab, there wouldn't be a question of going. She & her bad hairdo would stay put!
