I'm not a fan of hers either but I certainly hope she is getting the help she needs and this isn't just a stunt (and I doubt it is).

I hope this really does her good and she comes out of all this a changed person. Maybe that's wishful thinking.

When I heard that Britney will stay in the hosital for another 2 weeks, I thought FINALLY. Maybe thsi time she start t get the help that she needs. But, where will we turn for drama and gossip. She was always a given to get some good celeb. gossip.

After reading all the articles all over the place about this entire situation, I hope that the court rules that the conservatorship remains in the hands of her father and the co-conservator lawyer fellow.

I read somewhere that her current legal team was somehow connected to that Lufti guy, correct me if I'm remembering incorrectly. If that's the case, based on everything I have read about him and this role in this entire twisted situation, I'd like to see the conservators oust the lawyers (who, I believe, were not that long ago trying to drop her as a client)

I wonder who her divorce lawyers are suggesting control her finances if they want the responsibility taken away from her father (me thinks they want control)... the drama just keeps going with this family.

It is time for the media to leave this family alone and let them heal. Britney is very sick and is getting help. It is sad that the paps are now following her parents around. I can only imagine what it must be like to have serious family issues and it played out in the media everyday.

This Trope & Trope firm is just pathetic! First of all they are in bed with Sam Lufti who has his 4th restaining order against him! Just the other day they wanted to drop her as a client now they want to make sure they can screw her out of whatever money she has left. It's just ridiculous. I think parents should control everything about this situation. Sam needs to go to prison for all these bad choices Britney has made because he supported them. Britney's law firm is representing Sam not Britney at least in spirit because they would see how bad a manager he has been and further see he is not objective about his client. Since the parents have been in charge they have strengthen security around her, made sure she has stayed in the hospital and I am sure they are in constant contact with the doctor assign to her mental health. What do you think Sam would have done had he been in charge?

shes not in a padded cell for goodness sakes. She's in the mental rehab ward and they don't even have a padded room there. Her room that is free from anything she could possibley hurt herself with, no mirrors, sharp objects, anything that could be used as a rope, but NO padded cell...lol

She gets to watch tv in the commons area and talk on the payphone, so why would they have her in a padded cell??? Comeon guys!

At this rate she's killed herself multiple times, she's jumped around on furniture weilding knives threatening to kill people, she's had about 10 sex tapes, about 15 pregnancies and the list could go on...

My friend has been institutionalized multiple times due to her bipolar disorder. Once she was institutionalized because she wasn't taking her meds consistently and started hallucinating after not sleeping. Once she was institutionalized because the new prescription a doctor had given her made her even worse. I visited her the day 911 was called because she was so out of it and let me tell you, Britney is in the same condition.

In addition to being formally diagnosed with Bipolar disorder, they've admitted she was prescribed adderal due to a misdiagnosis of ADD. If you aren't truly ADD, adderal is nothing but pure speed for you. Why do you think kids buy it on the streets to stay up and study? DUH. Give someone who has manic episodes and you've got a recipe for total disaster - hello britney's life.

So am I missing something here? Why are the lawyers trying to get the financial and medical decision making away from Britney's father now? It seems to me right now...that he has been making some GOOD decision for her the last couple of days while he had control with Britney getting help that she clearly needs and having her stay extended for 14 days.

I dont know, all the news articles that I saw said padded room, not padded cell. Dont know if theres a difference between room and cell, but they definately have been using the word PADDED.

There is this law called HIPAA which make it illegal for medical institutions to release personal and private information. I doubt that the hospital made an official diagnosis available to the public. If her parents chose to do that, that's something different. But if you are only going off of what Sam Lufti has said, then I wouldn't call it official.

I feel sorry for her parents. People are saying so many bad things about them right now, but all I see is two parents that are really worried for their daughter. It's gotta be tough being in the public eye going through this.

Whatever. Let her lawyers argue away. The only thing that matters is that Britney is getting help. Two weeks isn't much, but hopefully it will last Britney a bit longer in case her father is no longer her guardian and cannot force her to get treatment. We just have to hope and pray that while she's in the hospital for those two weeks, something will make her realize what she's doing to herself and her family and she'll try to change for real.

Man what a circus! I really hope that she gets help and rids herself of the cockroaches that were in her life. Sam Lufti needs to fall into a deep hole and never come back out. At least her parents are making a real effort to get help for Brit and will hopefully be able to help her in the end.

I know this isn't really on the topic but Lynne Spears obviously doesn't feel the same need to change her clothes all the time that Britney does. All the pictures from this incident, Lynne is wearing that same outfit.

I don't see how people can conclude from pictures that Lynne somehow holds herself above others. I think she just looks tense and exhausted, as would any mother whose child is in a psych ward. Throw all the restraining order and bad pr on top of it, who wouldn't look numb?

There was a time when Britney was worth about $125 million, not too many years ago. I would not be surprised if Kevin's attorney files to preserve funds for the children, because Britney is going through money so fast. She's had a bunch of other lawsuits, which as far as I've read, she's lost all of them. Her legal bills must be something.

it's so hard with britney. i think that it's GREAT that she's going to be in the hospital for at least 14 days to be evaluated - but i wish that everyone would just stop fighting over her 'thing's. who's going to get control of her money ...sam? some guy that she's known for a few months that's supposed to be looking out for her best interest? we see how that works well for her. i think that they should just let her parents have control - since they are family and they have extorted money from her or used her in the past.

A few weeks ago they were trying to get removed from being her attorneys, claiming she would not communicate with them. Now after a weekend of chatting with Sam they show up in court and claim that they have some inkling of Britney's wishes??

Whatever is on the cover of Star is probably a lie. Kevin has done nothing short of putting his children's best interests first and stayed out of the media spotlight. He could have said and done many things to make her life worse, but he's hunkered down being a single parent now.

I have this false hope that this will turn Britney back into at least half of the pop star she was and probably can still be..but you never know. As long as she gets help. And I feel bad that the paps won't leave her poor family alone..honestly, take a day off.
