It's not often that Renée opens up about her personal life. When she and Kenny split after only being married for four months she wouldn't say much at all. But this week she was featured in LIFE magazine and it seems that enough time has passed for her to talk about the break-up. Still, it's obvious that the pain from that experience is still very close. Here's more:

- When asked what the hardest part of 2006 was:
Well, I’m sure that if you buy groceries, you might have read something about it. It's not on the top of my favorite things that have ever happened. [Her eyes well up] I’m not a superficial person. I don't care about what's on the grocery-store shelves. That's just salt in the wound. But it’s not a television show. I lived it. [A breakup] is a very sad experience for anyone to go through, and it's not fun when people decide that it's a lovely thing to capitalize on. But you're oblivious to that because you are living the reality of the experience—which is devastating. - When asked if her and Kenny are still friends:
I'll tell you that I was saddened. I'll tell you that it took . . . it's, it's not something I could [reason] away. It’s something that I'll live through, but I don’t want to talk about it beyond that because it matters to me.
It's got to be tough to not only deal with a failed marriage, but to have to see headlines of it all over the place every time you go to pick up some groceries. I guess it's part of the job but Renee seems so sweet and we feel for her. Check out how beautiful she looks in the pages of Life magazine. For more great pics just read more

She looks great and I feel for her, but I relly want to know what happened between the,m!
1that's really sad, she didnt say much about the marriage though, just that she is still hurt by the breakup
2She looks *stunning*!
PS - I want whoever styled this shoot to come style my life, please!
3still not opening up..nothing new there.. what happened for such a short turn around time..if they had spilled no one would even care. the mystery keeps everyone tuned in still. Kenny will write his memoire one day with the big reveal.
4Alley, salt in the wounds, darling.
5it's probably for the best that she doesn't dish out the details.
6She should have hired an assistant to go grocery shopping for her. I avoid trauma whenever possible, so why shouldn't she when she can afford to?
7even if i had the money i would still do my own shopping, it's just plain lazy if you dont. plus now days you can shop online and get anything you need, so why bother sending someone to do it for you. I feel bad for her, I hope she gets to feeling better soon, I love Kenny too, and i would really like to know what happened between them, they were so cute together!
8I'm really feeling bad for her....
9Why bother printing an interview if the subject chooses NOT to reveal anything? (I mean, she seems nice and all -- but so does most everyone else I meet. Call me wacky, but I like when interviews are informative and interesting.)
She looks better in these pics than she has recently.
10i wish they had a smiley playing a violin to go with the
11a nonny, yet when people do answer, people accuse them of giving tmi or analyze their questions to death. They're supposed to do interviews when they have movies coming out especially, so what exactly would you like them to do to satisfy everyone?

You're probably right. I don't begrudge her for keeping her privacy.
(But, then wouldn't that end be best served if she simply chose *not* to do interviews at all? It smacks of mental defect to arrange an interview with someone, just to spend the time demanding that the person not ask you anything that people may want to know.
**thinks on it**
Well. . .maybe this one was supposed to center on her acting work; can't blame a girl for wanting to do her job (media is an aspect of that machine). **shrugs** I dunno; it's not like people can control what the journalist asks, but it's obnoxious to have pages of fluff filler wherein the subject blathers a whole slippery-sweet maze of words just to tell you NOTHING.)
13Beautiful pics! Gotta luv Renee.
14Okay question....Renee and Kenny are married 4 months, and split up and she can still be affected by whatever happened....but Jen and Brad can be married much longer, he can cheat on her with a fugly woman, then divorce her for said fugly woman, then have a baby with said fugly woman, and Jen isn't allowed to be affected by it? Double standard.
15Angelina fugly, my arse.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I covet the shoes she's wearing with the silver dress. She looks pretty good here, but I agree interviews should be informative and interesting.
16She looks really pretty in these pix. I feel for her though not only is she dealing with a marriage that didn't even make it to 6 months but to be humiliated in public too all your business for everyone to read your court papers and what your claims were. Wow fame really has a price!

Point taken. (I was typing my response (above) while you were typing yours and I hadn't yet read yours before posting my second comment.)
I take NO blame for what *other* people do -- if some people over-analyze a person's comments in interviews, well, that is their own business, I suppose. [If a person (celebrity or not) puts her comments out to the public through a source of media, I don't think it's her *place* to instruct the public on properly processing and responding to those comments. When we make a public statement, we have no ownership in the response to that statement; people have every right to form opinions -- it doesn't mean their opinions are accurate, worthwhile, or significant. But they have a right to them, just the same.]
My take -- if you don't want people over-analyzing what you say, don't say anything. That is within the realm of your control. How people choose to utilize their mental faculties (and WHAT subjects captivate people's attention) is NOT within the realm of your control.
As for TMI -- so what if some people claim it's too much info? I would suggest that those people might do well in NOT reading the interviews. (Again, I take no responsibility for this. If someone is dimwitted enough to read through an interview and bemoan the fact that it was actually *informative*. . . ((tosses her opened palms upward)) Well, I wouldn't be inclined to concern myself with such people. There must be something fundamentally wrong with their entire thought process.)
Ethiopian, you asked me this question:"so what exactly would you like them to do to satisfy everyone?"
Nothing! I don't want them to do anything, because (with an ugly dose of frankness) I honestly don't care. They can speak, or not; they can tell scandalous stories, dripping with juicy detail OR they can keep mum and avoid personal questions. I have no preference either way.
And as for the implication that I want (and expect) these people to satisfy everyone in the public -- I don't. And I think they'd be fools if they thought they could. I don't think it's anyone's business. I think it has no great significance in life (for me) if they speak or if they keep quiet.
BUT. . . I think it's ironic that an entire interview may be pitched and wrapped around a tease that the subject is revealing something new and different -- yet the flowing ribbons of pretty but insubstantial, snack-sized chatter wind around an impenetrable center fixedly set upon the foundation of revealing *nothing* new.
That, friend, is funny. And *that* was my point.
18LOL..of course Jen was allowed to mourn the loss of her marriage. If there was anything to mourn by the time it finally ended.. And yeah I would be hurt to if my ex hit the ground running and didn't look back.. like a horse out of a starting gate! And their off!!! LOL!
But I don't blame Jolie. I don't blame anyone. It didn't work.. it looks like it couldn't be saved about three years in.
The thing about Kenny and Renee is like the Brit 52 hour marriage..WTF was that aweful.. that quick? And she is still this choked up about it? The curiousity is there.. thats all RCL
19it's interesting that fraud was cited as the reason for the divorce...
20a nonny mouse...way to go girl...you stick by your opinion and let others keep on keeping...I love what you said.
21she looks gorgeous!
22Wow , she looks beautiful! I have never thought she was a pretty woman so this photographer has been very blessed . the shoot made her look magnificent!
23She looks good here, I would be sad and not want to talk about a failed married, whether it failed after a month or after 30 years, people get over things at their own pace.
In my opinion the article's writer/editor should be to blame for a title that doesn't accurately portray the article's content.
sorry if there's any spelling issues, my spell check isn't working for some reason.
24Ok I take it back, the title of the article said nothing about her opening up about Kenny, it was Pop that did that, shame on Pop!
25Thanks JK! Your words are sincerely appreciated.
26Imabeliever--exactly!!
27That is sad, I want to know what happened to them. These are nice pictures of her. I think she's so pretty.
28Does she remind anyone of Meredith on Grey's Anatomy in these pics?
29Now that you mention it, she does look like her!
30couple of comments; first, how hurt can any emotionally mature person really be by a relationship that lasted for (what was it?) 4 months? second, i have this magazine and thought it very odd that so many pix didn't show her face. there are more pix of her back that her face.
31She's looks lovely.
Here's my theory - Kenny Chesney is really a woman.
32lol, well that WOULD explain a lot now wouldn't it.
33i think he's gay- just my personal thoughts on it
34Ima, good comparison. I can totally see that.
35Valeri..thats because her back can't pull that sour face act.. it can't ruin the shot .. she looks good here though..
36a nonny, generally if someone doesn't answer a question or says they won't, the interviewer should move right along. I'm sure their interview lasted for a long time and they discussed far more than was printed, so why doesn't the magazine focus on what she did answer? I think it's when Julia Roberts interviewed Clooney a few years ago and the whole interview was posted after I had read the magazine version that I realized that legitimate magazines skew information just as much as the less legitimate ones. They're just less obvious about it.
37why doesn't the magazine focus on what she did answer?
Great question! I have NO idea; a lot of my distaste for all this is centered precisely upon that.
38This shoot is so weird. Her face is covered in every pic.
WOW that dog in the GiggleSugar add is freaking me out. What is that???
39I'm with SIOUXSIE. I think he is gay (Or maybe TRIXIE6 is right, he is rather feminine looking).
Documents state that the reason cited for the divorce was FRAUD. And I heard that she said that their intentions for the marriage were different from each other. Maybe he needed the marriage to hide the fact that he is gay.
40And about Angelina being FUGLY?
41Puh-lease....Brad + Angelina = without a doubt, the most beautiful baby in the world...aside from my own bundle of joy below, of course!!!! :0)
Angelina is way prettier than Jen, AND her movies are beter too! Renee is pretty too and she was so good in Bridget Jones.. she should do another romantic comedy soon.
42Interesting...
**~~Everyone who's anyone has been on sesame street.~~**
43they got married so fast ofcorse it didnt work
44She seems like a good southern lady.
45love renee. i'd see her in any movie
