Radar magazine rolled out a list of who they think makes up fashion's new "power posse." Lauren Conrad scored the top spot, followed by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, and Anna Wintour. LC definitely stands out on that list of fashion icons, so tell us — does she deserve to be No. 1 in the new fashion power posse?

She is ABOVE Marc Jacobs? Heeeeeck no.
1She always looks cute and well put together but she wears very safe outfits and very popular brands i.e. von furstenberg, alice and olivia, theory, etc. you can almost always tell who she is wearing. but i would put her on the list because her looks are very wearable and sophisticated nonetheless.
2seriously?
3I'm not even sure who she is. Her outfit in those photos isn't exactly Fashion Icon worthy.
Is Radar Magazine even sure what Fashion Icon is? I mean, Coco Channel was a Fashion Icon. Katherine Hepburn was a Fashion Icon.
This girl is....who the heck is she? Seriously. I've no idea.
4I was going to say, young girls might look up to her, but she's above the EIC of Vogue and the head of Marc Jacobs and creative director for Louis Vuitton?! I don't think so.
5LOL! That's hilarious.
I have yet to see her wear an outfit that I would consider Fashion, New, or Power, let alone all three.
And the same goes for the 'line' she 'designed' oooo, a black halter dress, BREATHtaking...
6I think she's too plain jane to be on the list and her hairstyles are always predictable
7also, her line is basically a combination of Rachel Pally and C&C California and it has an outrageous price point so I can't really respect that. But the fact that her show does so incredibly well and teens have copied her headband thing and the black nail polish thing... I understand why she's on there (shouldn't be number one though, come on)
8I don't know who this girl is, but I'm not impressed by the photo. Of course, I've never heard of Radar, either.
And FOLLOWED by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, and Anna Wintour? Seriously?
9Boring, I prefer the Olsen twins over her anyday.
10I totally agree with HistoryMystery, I know who this girl is but she is not fit to tie any real fashion icon's shoes. I've seen lots of pictures of her but can't remember one single thing she's ever worn.
11No. She still has A LOT to proove!
12She looks cute and all, but it's not as though her fashion line has set the world on fire (the clothes look kind of generic, like something I could find at forever 21..it's pretty obvious the sole reason she was able to start it is b/c she's "The Girl from The Hills"). Besides, if they are basing it off of how well she throws together an outfit, we all know of other starlits who do a much better job with their sidewalk style *cough* Rachel Bilson *cough*
13I vote a vehement NO. She dresses like a trendy 20-something. Her sense of style and the clothes she wears are not innovative, do not make her stand out, and are certainly not worthy of any place on the list, let alone the number 1 spot. She dresses just like everyone else in Hollywood - following old trends rather than setting new ones. (hello, leggings?). Seriously, how can anyone tell her apart from the Hiltons, Lindsay Lohan, and the rest of them?
14Above Karl Lagerfield and Marc Jacobs? And friggin' Anna Wintour? That's no good.
15Not in that outfit.
16She's followed by the people who are designing and deciding what she wears. Sure, her career as a reality star is going a thousand miles an hour and she's certainly a fashion role model for a lot of young women... but this is ridiculous.
17Are you serious?
18Yes, totally boring. AND totally below Anna Wintour, Marc Jacobs, and Karl Lagerfeld. I don't pay tons of attention to fashion, but I do know that iconic people who have been in the businss longer than totally boring Lauren Conrad deserve to be above her on a list of fashion power people.
19If she's a fashion icon then so is every girl walking around the mall on any given day.
20NO she dresses like half of my friends. cute and comfy yes, but fashion power? NO
21Headband thing and black nailpolish thing? I did that back in highschool and that was 20 years ago. (those quiet sobs you hear are mine, yes)
She's no icon. She's not particularly stylish. She's cookie cutter. Fashionable people (especially those in the Icon class) have a unique style that's outside of Fashion.
22Well, I guess I can understand why they named her number one..I mean, pretty much every girl in high school and sometimes college tries to dress like the girls on the Hills. So, I mean, yeah, she does have a crazy amount influence over what mainly teenage girls wear.
In terms of influence over people, sure. If we're talking about designing clothes, I'd say not so much.
23It appears as though I am in the majority here. UH there is no way in H EY Double hockey sticks that she can be compared to the likes of MJ. I mean she was working for him at a show...
Radar is ususally so avant garde - THIS is disappointing.
24I was just wondering, do you think maybe Radar hates her and they are being sarcastic and joking?
Or maybe she paid them a lot of $ to say that??
25j2e1n9: That seems to be the only feasible explanation...I'm still at a loss...
26Not in THOSE shorts, she does't.
27This is a joke right?
28LOL nuttmegs!
Wait, I get it now, there apparantly is a DIFFERENT person with the same name as Lauren Conrad that we all have just not heard about yet.
They couldnt possibly mean the above pictured Lauren Conrad.
29I like her style, but I don't think she is THE fasion icon.
30Noooooooooo.
31I truly don't understand this one. She's not an icon. Like someone else said, she is just another trendy 20-something.
I stopped watching MTV years ago (when it really stopped being Music TV and turned into Hip, Pop-Culture Reality TV) so I had no clue who this chick was until I did a little research.
32Who the hell reads Radar?
33Maybe Sophia Bush but not Lauren Conrad!!!
34no. she's cute and all, but there are girls in my HIGH SCHOOL who dress better than that. she's nothing special.
35Ugh no!
36Above MJ, how the heck...
37I think this is a joke.
38I like Lauren and all, but please, fashion icon?
are they kidding?
39Her designs and fashions are genertic and boring (look at her line).
40LC must have one heck of a manager/PR firm to get her to the top of that list.
41I agree jc. It basically looks like a line of James Perse tees and dresses, nothing inspiring whatsoever.
She usually looks cute, but I never wish I was wearing her outfit.
42Can't stand her or the girl with the fake boobs and nose.
43They seriously need to go..
I mean, we all can't stand that she's right there but she really is. She's making clothes, working at fashion magazines and getting photographed constantly. Her style needs some work but it's way more reflective of American fashion than a Vogue editor or Marc J, as much as I love Anna and Marc. It quite often takes years for their influence to trickle down. How many sorority girls went out and bought Chanel bags (though faux I'm sure) and Marc flats after they saw them on LC? TONS. Her affect on fashion is immediate.
44Um, h*ll to the no!
45I hear you but I disagree just because she wasnt the only one doing those things. Or the first. I mean the Olsens, Nicole Richie and Mischa Barton have used flats and the Chanel bags for years now.
46I've never seen her wear anything creative or interesting. It's just boring old stuff--cute stuff--but boring.
47clearly Radar's credibility on Fashion is questionable. I would be really irked if I was an actual designer that was really talented in the REAL world...no MTV pun intended
48See, I think LC bought Chanel bags and Marc flats after SHE saw them on other people, but I agree that her style is becoming popular because she is photographed so often.
Intuition is carrying her line for gods sake!
49I think she dresses appropriately for a 20-something living in California... but that's just it. There's not really anything exceptional about her look or her designs.
TEAM AUDRINA!
