The Vanity Fair annual Hollywood Issue photo shoot is especially cool this year as a whole slew of famous actors posed to recreate classic shots from Alfred Hitchcock movies. Some of my personal favorites include Seth Rogan doing North by Northwest Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. in To Catch A Thief and the Scarlett Johansson/Javier Bardem duo doing Rear Window. 4I love that photo shoot. They are all amazing photos. I love the North by Northwest one. In a weird way Seth Rogan was perfect for that photo considering it was completely out of the ordinary for him to get chosen for that one.

9The VF Hollywood issue has never failed to produce some of the best photos. I love them all. =]
10Scarlett and Gwyneth are no Grace Kelly....lol...but still...these pics are pretty darn cool. I want them to do remakes now with these people in them....might be cool.

14Renee and Gwyneth are horrible. Renee looks so botoxed and does the gorgeous Kim Novak a disservice by even trying to look like her. Gwyneth lacks the grace and charm of Grace Kelly to pull her look off. I watched To Catch a Thief recently on TMC and Grace Kelly was so sophisticated and beautuful in that maovie. Everyone else looks great!

16Such a stunning collection. I do think that Gwyneth can't possibly channel Grace Kelly, but it's close enough. Such gorgeous looking pictures. LOVE IT.

21caryatid, well I love all Hitchcock movies (although I wasn't crazy about Marnie) but I really liked Lifeboat. It's amazing how the entire movie is filmed while they are on the lifeboat but yet Hitchcock still keeps it interesting.
Rope was really good as well. I think my favorites are North by Northwest, Rear Window and The Man that Knew Too Much.
22They sooo should have used George Clooney for To Catch a Thief or North by Northwest.. too obvious a choice I guess?

27These pictures are beautiful and those are some great movies! I would have liked to see a Psycho one too, that's my favorite Hitchcock movie. I guess it's hard to find a good Norman Bates...

29Nice spread but it is disheartening for actors of color. Where's Denzel, Will Smith or Taraji Henson? All three had wonderful performances last year. Welcome to White Hollywood. The majority rules.

31cute little artist, they could have had denzel do sidney poitier or will smith do harry belafonte or Halle( who else) dorothy dandridge, but I guess they wanted to go a different way, but yeah they excluded folks, they could have had eva mendes do raquel welch or rita hayworth or even rita morena. They should represent all of old hollywood but they don't always get it right, but maybe next time.But it could be because in the old days of hollywood those actors weren't getting fair shakes to begin with, they weren't getting the roles that the actors potrayed in the magazine were getting.

33where are the marion cotillard ones? i saw the elsewhere - and she looked good doing Psycho. Like the rear window one as well, and of course, as usual Charlize is a stunner.

40i love this issue of VF. Every year they do something similar and it's always great to see all the faces and what they lay it out as in the book.

42I guess since they were doing hitchcock it makes since for them to only use those movies( duh) but they didn't have to only use those actors,they could have done the birds, or vertigo and thrown everyone for a loop and used an actor of color that isn't atypical in these types of photoshoots.Scarlett does old hollywood glam everyday.

44Stunning. One of my top five is Rear Window so this is a hit for me.
45Scarlett, Keira and Seth look so out of place with these greats. Renee really got into it, I think she looks fabulous. Marion's photos were also fab. And Naomi and Charlize always look beautiful!

48I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hitchcock rocks and these photos are amazing! I especially love Robert Doney, Jr. and the Strangers on a Train one. Wow, this is so cool!
49I only wish they had also included Rope and Psycho. Hands down, James McAvoy is the best with his point-on portrayal of the deliciously creepy Bruno Anthony. Love it!
