Charlize Theron was at Harvard yesterday to pick up her Hasty Pudding Pot for Woman of the Year, but not before she was sufficiently hazed by the school's Hasty Pudding Theatricals. After showing off her dance moves and riding through the streets in her very own parade, Charlize graciously accepted her award, saying, "I hope you all know I’m a high school dropout. I just thought I’d be clean with you guys. I went to school in Africa but I’m really, really honored to be here." In the spirit of the award she also got silly, joking, "I am Woman of the Year. If there was any question about me being a man, this should erase it." There were definitely a few cross-dressers at the awards ceremony, but it was pretty clear that Ms. Theron wasn't one of them.

5we haven't seen enough of her lately - i'm glad that she's able to joke about herself and all that. it's really interesting to me to see how many people who are successful w/o a real education past a certain level. so sad on education systems - but i guess they are doing ok for themselves
6As I struggle through grad school while working full time and running my household, I really resent celebrities that brag about the fact that they dropped out of high school or college.

14hey J2ne19. Get over yourself and stop being so stuck up and jealous. Charlize wans't bragging about being a high school drop out she was being very modest and making fun of herself! She's not even American! She came from South Africa and her mother killed her father in self defense when she was a teenager! So at 15 she left home and school and had to model to support herself and then came to hollywood and hopes of becomming an actress and she made it and is an Oscar winner and a great beauty. She had a hard life and everyone's situation is different.
