If you think that Kate Hudson's coat on her way into Letterman yesterday afternoon lives up to the title of her new movie Fool's Gold, you gotta check out the hot little number she wore for her interview. Gold standard. On the show she talked a little about her movie and even more about her first trip to the Super Bowl last weekend as a guest of Patriots' owner Bob Kraft. She said that a woman's QB of choice says a lot about her taste in men, which I think holds true unless you have a home team whose allegiance wins over. As for the movie itself, my review for Buzz makes it pretty clear that I wasn't the biggest fan, but I still love me some Kate and Matt.

14I have always loved Kate Hudson and think that she is a really beautiful woman. However, her comment that a Tom Brady type of quarterback is your "GQ" type, or like a "Romney" or "Obama" type is completely politically motivated, not to mention heavily scripted (note her long pause to "collect her thoughts", i.e. remember her script). Kate Hudson and her family are good friends of billionaire Ron Burkle, a Democratic fundraiser and major Clinton supporter. Ron even flew Kate and her friends on his jet to Paris where they commenced upon a major shopping spree http://justjared.buzznet.com/2007/06/29/kate-hudson-ronald-burkle/. And while I have no problem with her supporting the candidate of her choice, equating Obama with Romney is underhanded and just wrong on so many levels, and indicates that she may be just as shallow as her new movie. Talk about fool's gold...

23Despite my earlier comment above, I just want to say that I saw Fool's Gold yesterday and I loved it! I know that it got some bad reviews, but I thought it was great. Kate and Matthew have great chemistry and really brought the story to life. This movie is a perfect escape, a nice romantic adventure. It reminds me of old Hepburn-Tracy movies. I don't know why people are putting it down. Granted, it could be better, but what is not to like about two beautiful and hilarious people hunting for treasure in a tropical paradise?
