The People's Choice Awards weren't the only big event last night. The National Board Of Review Awards Gala took place in NYC at Cipriani. Jennifer Hudson added one more award to her list winning its breakthrough performance award along with Ryan Gosling for Half Nelson's crackhead teacher. Penelope Cruz was on hand to present the foreign-film award for Volver and said about working with Pedro Almodovar, "It's too perfect. Sometimes it's scary. We're very good friends." SJP was at the event as well looking simply stunning.

All these banquets that Ryans gone to, but no Rachel. Rachel McAdams, where are you!?
1Jennifer and Mark look great. Still saying that Jennifer needs a fab GOWN in a bright color. Maybe she's holding out for the Oscars. I really want to see Half Nelson now. Looking at the trailers, I wouldn't guess that this movie would be that great but Gosling and Epps have gotten many kudos for their acting.
SJP looks heinous.

3Marky-Mark Walhberg...HOT!!!!

4I wonder if my hubbie would mind if I made him my screen saver?
uh, is Ryan Gosling about to go panning for gold after the show?
5Oh. When will he shave that mustache? It makes him look like some sort of pedophile. He looks like some guy on "To Catch A Predator." Speaking of which, what happened to that show?

7I'm not a fan of Ryan's 1880's look. i hope it's for a movie he's working on???
I'm sure not diggin Ryan's pedotache. Gross.
8pedotache! Good one!
9pedotache? Hilarious! Good for Jennifer Hudson.
10Yay Jennifer!! Jennifer is sooooo cool. She seems like such a sweetheart and her voice is awesome!
11Ryan Gosling used to be cute...why is he trying to look like a 50year old man?
12Good for Jennifer!
