The People's Choice Awards [0] weren't the only big event last night. The National Board Of Review Awards Gala [1] took place in NYC at Cipriani. Jennifer Hudson added one more award to her list winning its breakthrough performance award along with Ryan Gosling for Half Nelson's crackhead teacher. Penelope Cruz was on hand to present the foreign-film award for Volver and said about working with Pedro Almodovar, "It's too perfect. Sometimes it's scary. We're very good friends." SJP was at the event as well looking simply stunning.
