Many of the ladies on the red carpet had the chance to change outfits since they performed and presented as well. In fact, during some parts of the show the beautiful boys like John Mayer and John Legend were simply background fodder to Alicia Keys and Fergie's fabulous voices. We were especially excited to see Alicia getting down in an age appropriate outfit that made her shine. Kanye's touching performance to his mother also included a shockingly obvious hint to the orchestra to stop the send off music so he could thank his mom when he won for Best Rap Album.
Tina and Beyonce shook things up in their tight hot silver numbers (Tina, you still got it but the Posh wanna-be outfit was a bit much). Carrie Underwood changed into a hot little black number with sexy boots while Rihanna kept it playful with her fun feathery dress. The most anticipated performance of the night definitely belonged to Amy Winehouse who also won big. Her mom even stood by her side while she accepted Record of the Year. Overall, the performances were great and even though this was a special Grammy year - turning 50 and all - we hope next year they can keep the show to under 3 hours. That was certainly a long one folks.
We have performances of Tina and Beyonce and Kanye's tribute and speech so check those out after the jump. You can enjoy all the pics in slideshow format or for a huge gallery of pictures including Kid Rock, Jason Bateman, Foo Fighters and Prince just read more

I was extremely pleased that Amy Winehouse won everything she was nominated for. Well deserved. She is looking and sounding much better. I hope she continues to improve.
1it was a long show - and aside from a long slow musical performance around 1030 - it was pretty decent. i liked kanye , and i would have liked carrie's performance had she not had the WORST EXTENSIONS ever in her hair.
i'm still reeling about the album of the year award - you knew that it wouldnt go to kanye - but really? some album that no one knows about?
and i'm soo happy for amy - she did great with 3 grammy's and i'm glad that she was on air to receive the last one - it's really sad that she couldn't be there becuase how often is she going to be able to receive the best new award - only once - and yes she has the honor but accepting is part of the excitement
2LOVED the pixs Pop!
3I LOVED when Vince GIll was like "I got an award from a Beatle. Kanye can you say that?" Kanye is just so arrogant, it kills me.
4I really loved the Beatles tribute thing. When they were singing Let it Be, I almost had tears. Beautiful
Tina looked fantastic. And, fyi - she was rocking the tight Posh outfits before Posh was even born!
It was an off and on snoozer for me. Amy was great, but is it just me or did she look like she was on something?
Rihanna looked like a robot... Kanye's tribute to his mom had me in tears.
Overally ok Grammys.
5The vince gill comment was AMAZING!!! hahahah Kanye needs to shut up, seriously! Amy Winehouse was amazing and seemed sober and humble and I just felt so happy for her. I think she is getting the help and support she needs so desperately.
6Oh and about Carrie Underwood, my husband first comment was "WOW she is getting way skinny huh!?"
7It was not the best show but well....les say decent!
8I was very happy with Amy Winehouse, she sang great and looked a little better! I hope she takes her time and continues to recover.
9I LOVE Kanye!!! He's got talent so he's ego is 'good' ego!...
10IMO, the Posh wanna be comment was idiotic. Tina has been rocking these type of outfits for many years and may I add, filling them out better than Posh could ever dream. Not to mention, Tina is filling them with the real deal. No comparison between the queen Tina and the "Posh". PUUUULEEEEEEASEEEEE
11Perhaps if Kanye didn't spend 2 minutes praising himself and just started talking about his mom to start with they wouldn't have had to start music to cut him off. They do that for a reason as they only have a certain amount of time. But i guess everyone should just cater to him. Sorry i like his music but he annoys me, It's good to have self confidence but come on, you don't need to get up at the Grammys and tell everyone how great you are and have been winning at the Grammys for 5 years.
Sorry for the rant
This is just my opinion and i am sure a lot of you don't feel
that way.
12Yea Pop! Thanks for all the pics
13Stupid comment about Tina wearing a Posh wannabe outfit.
14Thank you Liss!!!
Kanye was absurd. So conceited. And using his mom to get them to turn off the music. He blabbed about himself then added her almost as an afterthought to shame the orchestra or whatever. I'm not doubting that he loves her or that he was always going to mention her, but I think what he did was rude and arrogant.
LOVED what Vince Gill said.
Tina Turner was freaking awesome as well.
15I'm sorry that Kanye's mom died but he is just too arrogant and full of himself. I'm glad he didn't win Album of the Year.
I love Beyonce's hair - looks great on her
16Yeah I've never like kanye's arrogance( or usher's, and usher was trying to be arrogant up there himself b/c he was jealous he wasn't a nominee this year)
17I'm sorry but Alicia Keys went on and on and on ad f-ing on but as soon as Kanye gets onstage he is played out. He is arrogant but he is honsst aboutit, what you see is what you get and if he was such an a$$ he wouldn't have laughed at Vince's comments.
18well we know the grammy folks love alicia keys( remember her first year out?) and they love them some stevie wonder b/c as much as I loooove stevie he does make an apperance every year.
19Just FYI- those boots Carrie had on are Lesilla- and are $4000.00
20Thanks ElizabethRae, i am glad some one agreed with me
21I thought that what Beyonce did was odd, not really singing in the beginning. And I didn't care for Tina's outfit, it looked like it didn't fit right. Good for Vince Gill, Kanye has no class. I'm disappointed every year at the Grammys and this was worse than last year. They nominated two Christmas albums for Pop, how stupid id that?I think Herbie Hancock was the most original with two completely different genres. I think that's why he won. Usually there groups of cronies who nominate and vote for their friends, like when Paul McCartney won for a song that was never played on the radio.
22I feel like an @ss, because I didn't realize they were on last night, and thusly missed them.
I watched the Amy Winehouse performance on YouTube and that's all I saw. I will search online to see what other clips I can find. That being said Kayne as a whole is an @ss anyways, he's got
a super inflated ego that needs to be deflated in order for anyone to truly like him.
23john mayer and alicia keyes should hook up they look cute. lol
24Pop, your comment about Tina's outfit was so rude. Tina Turner has been rocking dresses like that for ages. I don't think Tina is a wannabe ANYTHING cuz she's got it all....people wannabe TINA thank you very much lol. And might I add, Tina's seventy something year old body outshines Posh in that dress!
25I so do not like Kanye, he makes me change the station everytime I hear him. He looked terrible and stupid in his outfit. I loved Tina's outfit and I loved Vince's comment!!!!
26why Beyonce is in all grammy awards?she is getting so boring
27I actually loved Beyonce last night. I thought she looked amazing with that hair, I loved her opening act introducing Tina, and Tina Turner is the shiznit.
ALICIA ALICIA ALICIA, this chic is the BEST thing in popular music right now. She has it all. I would turn gay for her.
Amy Winehouse was EXCELLENT!!!! I love her whole thing she has going on.
I thought Rhianna sucked, but she is adorable.
Fergie sucked too.
Foo Fighters were awesome.
I have never even heard f the Herbie Hancock album, but JONI MITCHELL is one of the most amazing artists ever, so I need to check it out.
Kayne West is very talented, and I agreed with his speech, actually.
Overall, I found the show entertaining.
28Tina looked awesome in her outfit! I'd like to see you try that outfit on when you're 69. Scratch that comment-Please. Posh Schmosh. Psht.
29At least Alicia didn't wear those GOD AWFUL leopard print pants again. She needs to burn those bad boys. UGH! Ok, so Pop can totally have her own opinion about Tina's outfit. I think that Tina should dress her age, and stop wearing these skin tight outfits. Personally. And that's MY opinion. Whitney & Aretha both dress age appropriate, so why can't Tina?
30The best line of the night. Jason Bateman saying that John Paul Jones was with the orchestra. and than saying "he was in led zeppelin for all you morons"
31Josh Duhamel is sooooo hot. Him and Fergie are so cute. As far as the show goes, I thought it was so boring. My favorite performance was Alicia Keys and John Mayer. I normally like Beyonce's performances the best, but something about last night's wasn't right. I don't know. I love Kanye's music but he needs to shut up. He is so annoying. He really hasn't been around that long to run his mouth the way he does. And Usher......your woman is beat looking so nothing for you to be arrogant about either!!!
32Drea- Ushers wife is so yuck, if you ever heard her speak, she is totally insecure too. She has made some really lame comments in the press.
33The Beatles tributes were amazing. It made me sorry for whoever had to follow that. No one will ever make music that good ever again. I had to love Vince Gill. What a classic remark. I also thought there was just too much going on in the backround when Carrie Underwood sang. Enough with the crappy backround dancers.
34Well Usher's wife isn't in the industry really (to me a sylist doesn't count as in the industry), so I can certainly imagine why she would be so insecure. I can guarantee you I would come across the same way too. She's a real person so I think she should be given a little slack, personally.
35loved the show it as all about tina for me. she is one of the greatest performers of all time
36I thought it was a fantastic show. I wasn't bored for a minute.
37I just heard this morning that Beyonce was trying to replicate Tina Turner whenever she danced on stage ***minus ALL the falling and tripping I'm sure.
BUT I must say that Beyonce is NOT NOT NOT doing a very good job of dancing like Tina Turner. I don't remember Tina Turner tripping and falling on her as* all the time on stage - back in my day.
38I'm pretty sure that Posh didn't register on Tina Turner's mind when deciding what to wear.
I thought it was one of the better Grammy shows in recent memory. More performances, less hosting chatter. No single host telling lame jokes. Lots of veteran musicians we haven't seen or heard in a long time.
