After spending her weekend quietly by her dad's side, Britney kept it low key on Monday, Blackberry in hand, before going out to dinner in a very puffy coat. We don't see Brit alone often, but these days the security around her is even more beefed up thanks to Jamie Spears. At dinner over the weekend he made sure she didn't even go to the bathroom or on a cigarette break without a chaperone. It's no wonder then why she's been sneaking out to meet up with at least one member of her old entourage.
Britney apparently set up a secret shopping meeting at Fred Segal with Alli on Friday. Jamie is supposedly upset with Alli for staying close to Sam, but since Britney's never much for good-girl friends I'm sure she's missing Alli. In other Britney news, her lawyers are back in court today for a custody hearing. While nothing is expected to change in terms of being able to see her boys (though there is a possibility for visitation) she may end up with a new legal team since this one still wants out. This is just a precursor to bigger upcoming court dates where this whole saga will continue.

Keep it up Brit! I know that she still has a long way to go but at least now she is clear headed. I'm sure it must be so hard to be her right now, finally realizing that the world was basically laughing at her and that she was just spiraling down. Good to see her making progress.

She had to sneak out to see a forbidden friend? How teenager-ish. Wouldn't put secret communications with Sam and the new lawyer in her civil rights case beyond her. She can't even go to the bathroom without a babysitter. How demeaning. If she comes out of this the same way she came out of Promises it's bye bye to mom and pop - for good. The flood gates are going to burst open when she's no longer on lockdown.
8she seems to have calmed down a lot. I don't hear news about her everday. I'm usually the first person to say "who gives a rats tail about her?!" and so but I'm sincerely hope she gets the help she needs.
9I have taken care of people on suicide watch, and guess what, I followed them into the bathroom, too. Unfortunately, it is necessary when someone is soooo unballanced. They have to make sure she is not doing any meth and other drugs.
10So much for her father not letting her call people, she is caring her blackberry! Guess, Osama Lufti is giving X-17 some bad information!!
I so think she is getting better but I am not sure if it will take once her dad loses conservatorship.

12Gigger - I understand the reasons they're having her watched so closely but my point was that if she's only going along with this because she's forced to, then she's resenting every minute of it and once the conservatorship is over she's kicking everyone involved to the curb.
13It's totally true Woop. Which has been Brit's way all along. When people stiffle her she acts like a spoiled teenager and kicks them out of her life. Which is initially I think the reason she kicked her mom to the curb, because she wasn't helping her whole custody case. I just hope that she's seeking therapy to help her get better and eventually be a more stable parent to her little boys, who NEED both Parents.
14Jamie Spears can't be in charge forever...and I doubt that she's really changed much. Once the cash flow is back in her hands, believe me, it will be the continuous downward spiral.
15Woop & tiabia said it. She's only going along with it because she's being forced to. She'll take it far enough to have her Dad removed as conservator and then the crazy train will ride the rails again. Sneaking to see Alli only reinforces that in my mind.
16I agree Trixie. That would explain why she looks so unhappy in recent photos. Also,unless she changes locations aka get the hell out of Hollywood, I don't see things improving for her
17Does she ever roll her window up??? It's obvious she is still desperate for attention. I wonder who is working the deals with the tabloids now that her parents are in control? I have to say anything is an improvement...one day at a time - in her case, one minute at a time.
18i can understand why her father is upset with alli - then again - the girl is family - she really should know better - but we've seen how much common sense the brood has. i hope that the security keeps up since it's keeping her a bit more 'normal'. maybe this is all good for her - and knowing that kevin is willing to discuss custody with her - that shows that things could get better...as long as mom/dad are involved.

22pink - hopefully she is getting some serious counseling right now. The longer she can go without drugs and especially without that idiot Sam in her life, the better. She didn't get like this overnight and it's going to take a long time to get her well. That's why it was so heart breaking that they couldn't/didn't keep her longer in the hospital.
23She's gotten so much thicker. And, NO, that's not an OK thing because she's a pop star, a pop star who does NOT sing live or anything...at LEAST take care of the awesome dance-talent body for your fans!
24i dont see if someone else does the crazy things that BRIT has done and STILL get the support she gets!....uhm but WHY?!
25She seems to be doing much better under her father's supervision right now. Only time will tell if she'll learn from this and remain grounded. I think Jamie has every right to be annoyed with Alli. She hasn't exactly been the greatest friend to Britney herself.
