Drew Barrymore looks virtually unrecognizable on the March cover of Vogue. Seriously, talk about being dead in the eyes — and that stare is coming from one of the spunkiest actresses out there. I mean, her wax figure was unveiled in London this weekend, and it looks more alive than she does here. Anyway, hopefully the inside spread will show off more of the Drew we love, and at least her personality and tenacity shines through in the interview. She said:
"I think I had some mechanism in my head that said, 'If you don't pull it together for yourself, no one else will.'. . . That's coming from a person who had to try it all . . . and who still loves to have a good time . . . I do believe in 'Work hard, play hard,' but 'Work hard' always comes first, and it did even when I was wild and young."
While there's no question that Drew is a career-minded woman — acting, producing, and now directing — considering how often we've been seeing her lovely dovey times with Justin Long recently, it seems she's found some time to play too. Check out more from Drew when the issue hits newsstands on Wednesday.

wow talk about airbrushing
seriously.. she look like a wax figure on this cover.
something is different about her face. maybe it's the angle. she doesn't look like drew.
justin girl i was gonna say the same thing. totally looked like wax and tiny too.
That doesn't even look like her.
Yeah she looks different here. But, I still LOVE her!
Why don't we just move on to putting cartoons on the magazine covers now? Pretty much the same thing: not real people.
Anywho..
I clicked that link there for the wax figure comment, and she looks way better as wax.
I love drew why do they have to try to change her face.
you're 100% right about the picture - it just has no life to it - and that's very rare for this girl. i hope that the inside pictures are better....it would be a waste for vogue. i'm suprised that she would have 'ok'd the picture - but then again with vogue - i'm not sure she had final cut
does anyone know why she talks like she's had a stroke? She's always done that. One side of her mouth moves while the other doesn't. Just curious about that.
mswindang..i agree about the tiny comment.
Weird.
her eyes look odd... i wouldnt have recognised her.
it's like she's got that lisp or something. but i think its a mannerism that she has whenever she talks.
Yea really...that doesn't even look like her
I still can't believe that the nerdy guy from Britney's "Crossroads" is dating Drew of all people. Haha.
Way too much fun the photoshop, I could have sworn it was kate walsh
i didn't know she's dDrew cause she looks more different but likede her look .
I love Drew, but this photo doesn't capture her liveliness. Wonder if she had to lose a lot of weight—in reality or digitally—to be on the cover.
Wow, this really doesn't look like the vivacious Drew we all know and love!! I'm wondering the same thing Bella - weight loss for real or digital airbrushing??? Things that make you go uhmmmm.
Doesn't even begin to look like her!
It's like they morphed her face together with someone else's, and then PhotoShopped all the personality out of the result.
Spitfire--I've always wondered why she talks like that, too. Personally, I think it's an affectation.
I think photoshopping needs to be done and over with. I mean they made Drew of all people look unrecognizable. I have 3 covers of her on Jane Magazine(how I miss them)and she looks like how she normally does. You can even recognize her in the covergirl ads(after the whole softening of her natural beauty)Makes no sense.
you think it's a poor make-up job? along with some airbrushing?she just doesn't look natural here.
Do the the people chosen to be on these covers get to OK the final picture before it is printed? Just wondering...
Its like they dont even need celebs anymore. They can just digitally create people. I'm sure Drew had nothing to do with it. She doesnt seem like the type to diet just to be on a cover.
It looks creepy. And her eyebrows look terrible. Her face is not suited for such arched eyebrows. And the angle at which they took her picture changes the shape of her face. Not flattering in the least.
Drew has a very distinct face....and that is NOT Drew. It looks like the morphed one of her pictures into an old picture of Sophia Loren....bizarre.
they seriously stretched out her arms and neck too. this is a photoshop masterpeice. she was beautiful before. i don't know why they had to go and make her look like a plastic robot.
I didn't realize that was her on the cover. I was scratching my head and wondering why the cover story was about Drew Barrymore and some random biatch was on the cover. It looks NOTHING like her.
Ah the wonders of photoshop.
I think she looks beautiful, personally.
Why did they need to Photoshop? Oh yeah, Anna Wintour.
I think she looks absolutely beautiful too. I love her glossy mouth.
she looks really different
I love drew barrymore. and she is naturally beautiful but they completly messed that up with the airbrushing
she doesn't look like herself on the cover.
There is something about her eyes/cheeks here that remind me of a black eye covered in makeup...
Crazy!
it makes her look like she's 60 with plastic surgery, lol...
HOWEVER, it does look like a painting though, which looks cool.
And here I was ready to comment that she looks ravishing. The makeup is so fresh and dewy on her, but yeah, I can see how it doesn't really look like her. And it is Photoshopped to death.
Oh no not Drew again...I think this is the third time she is on the cover of US Vogue. Don't get me wrong I love Drew, but I think that on the cover of Vogue magazines we should see the faces of the models, not singers, actresses.....and so on...disappointing
so unnatrual
i've always loved drew's youthfulness and i don't think that was captured in this shot!
That cover is freaking me out!
she looks really good here.. tons of airbrushing..
It does look like Drew. Drew's face is total recognized. Her beauty is very unique, even when it's total photoshopped. I like the cover, but I think almost all the magazines are putting too much photoshop in the covers. Although, I saw the pictures inside and LOVE it!
Definitely not a flattering picture.
I'm just glad she's on a cover.
Go Drew!
If it wasn't for her name mentioned in PopSugar's article and her name featured on the magazine's cover I wouldn't have known she was Drew. The neck and arm seem elongated and slimmed down, and the jawline is more extreme than I remember Drew's ever being. Her eyes are not only sedated but the eyebrows are almost too rounded, like a doll's. I wonder what the original, unaltered photograph looked like before the digital artists butchered it.
she's looking so good nowadays.
