We used to love Claire Danes. Then that whole weird Billy Crudup thing happened. You know, he was about to have a baby with the fabulous, Mary-Louise Parker and then he left her very pregnant to be with Claire. Well, now they are over and Claire is supposedly with British actor Hugh Dancy. You might remember him from Basic Instinct 2 (Oh right - no one saw that crappy movie). Anyway, evidently he's up and coming and Claire is smitten and doesn't care who knows. The only problem is he might be playing for both teams if you know what I mean. Here's more:
The handsome British actor is "the other man" in the Claire Danes/Billy Crudup breakup - although some might be surprised he hooked up with her and not him.
An eyewitness says Danes and Dancy got together Nov. 2, a month before the split with Billy.
According to the source, they shared a bed "with the door two feet ajar, and everybody listening" in his suite at the swanky hotel where the cast was staying while filming "Evening" in Newport, R.I.
But horny Hugh didn't limit his attention to the ladies.
"The cast was pretty much drunk every night," says the snitch. "Hugh also made out with [screenwriter] Michael Cunningham in the lobby."
Plus, he was seen snogging the gay hotel manager, who lost his job.
The problem with dating a bisexual is that you have twice as many people to compete with. As for Claire, maybe she should lay low for a while. We want to root for her again, but we haven't had many reasons to want to recently.

So the woman has NO culpability in engaging in a relationship with a man who is already involved with someone else? Sorry, I don't think the "other woman" should get off scott free. While the man may be the one breaking his vows or trust or whatever, the other woman also knows what she's doing. I understand that you shouldn't solely blame the other woman, E_P, but do you not think that it shows a lack of kindness and respect for other people in general when a woman chooses to hook up with a man she knows is in a committed relationship? 34I don't see how the "Other Woman" is responsible for the happiness of whoever else. If you're in a relationship with someone and they dump you, even if you're in the labor room, it's not the other woman's fault. It's misplaced blame and a total cop out.
Anyway, like abortion, capital punishment and loyalty to Rosie O'Donnell, most people have strong opinions one way or another. We're not going to agree. I like her work. I like that I know relatively little about her personal life. I also like Mary Louise Parker as an actress. I love Weeds. It's a brilliant show. If we judged actors solely based on the details of their personal lives, we'd have no actors to watch. I'm of the opinion now that the less I know about an actor, the better. The most talented people are often but not always infamous because...well...they can be. The least talented people compensate one way or the other (Paris Hilton with sex and controversy, Hilary Duff with saccharin attitude, and the list goes on and on).
Also, I strongly believe that OW only hurt themselves. The man in question will always find someone or something to run to. A man who is dedicated to his partner wouldn't cheat or leave.

Claire Danes really is an amazing actress. I honestly didn't even know Billy left MLP for Claire. Over and done now.
