The Oscars are almost here, but Hollywood is still busy with other awards shows, like the 10th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. The trophies merited looks from Blades of Glory, Ugly Betty, and Sweeney Todd. Katie Holmes was on hand to honor Tom's longtime producing partner, Paula Wagner with the Swarovski President's Award last night in Beverly Hills. Considering the show was recognizing the industry's fabulous designers, we were a bit disappointed with what the stars picked out for the event, like Ginnifer's loud little number and Katie's not-so-flattering ice princess look. At least Christian Bale looked dapper as the male representative for the night.

17Kat(i)e used to have such a girlish smile and seemed fun. She always stuck her tongue out a little when she giggled. But she didn't seem ditzy. Just down-to-earth and a little quirky. I think I read somewhere that Tom didn't like that and had her change it. Now, in interviews and when she's speaking there's just no personality. Her voice and cadence are completely different. Her expressions are so much more subdued...as if she's really REALLY trying to seem so mature and 'together'. She will cock her head and just barely turn up one side of her mouth to show amusement and she speaks so low and softly or - sometimes - she throws her head back but doesn't make a sound. It comes off as so forced. Creeps me out. And I know a lot of people are going to say she just matured...but it doesn't seem like it was a natural transition.

23Actually, Samherlihy, I read an interview where Tom Cruise said that he really loves the way she sticks her tongue out like that when she smiles - not to defend them in any way (they make me ill). I think she is the spitting image of Tom in the pic where she is smiling maniacally when she gives the award. Creepy.

35Bale is jerk. Many reports of him from fans and reporters from Hong Kong,London and Santa Monica also backed this up. He wont even care if you're a lady. Batman shrines said he even said the F word to a woman and gave her the finger and the husband almost punched him demanding for his apology which later Bale did. Batman fans also said on some shooting with Gary Oldman and Bale, Oldman is so cool and patient but Bale is a whiner.
