Last night the winners weren't shocking but the show still had a few memorable moments. First off, let's not blame Jon Stewart for the probably least watched Oscars ever. It wasn't his fault they had no time to prepare which left us watching montage after montage. The pregnancy joke was inevitable — too bad Jolie wasn't even there to accept her pseudo-award. It also wasn't Jon's fault that it took over an hour before a big actor award was handed out. When that time came, Javier took the stage with a smile. Expected winner, Daniel Day-Lewis kissed his fellow nominee George Clooney on his way up to grab his little gold man. Of the many Enchanted performances, my favorite was the adorable Kristin Chenoweth singing, "That's How You Know." One pleasant surprise was seeing Owen Wilson presenting Best Live Action Short. We're also very happy to see Juno win something! Congrats Diablo Cody!

Did anybody else feel the In Memoriam montage was really really badly done? They left out Ulrich Mühe ("The Lives of Others"), Brad Renfro and the nominated (!) Marit Allen and everyone else was only shown really briefly.
1this show was ok..but i went to sleep after the first 2 hours.
2Yay for Owen!
3I think the Oscars are the worst that I have ever seen it. Dont cut the host any SLACK this is the show that he chose to host he needs to take some responsibility for it. He knew that it was so bad he had to resort to a tasteless joke about someone who was pregnant and not even in the audience when the were 3 others there who was pregnant who were attending. JON STEWART IS A BAD HOST.
4it was montage heaven - but at least you knew that they had a plan if the strike wouldn't have ended. i think that there were a FEW good moments...
5Word cheers! That joke about Angie was just awful
6agreed that jon stewart has always been a bad host.
7i am angie fan and thought that john joke was so funny
8chill out people,it was only a joke, but cant tell if he was a bad host only see some clips on youtube
It was alright...I watched it here and there...nothing too special in my opinion though.
9It was an ok ceremony but there were some moments that made me smile. I loved Ethan (?) Cohen's "I have nothing more to add to what I said earlier" haha. The French girl was so cute winning and hello, Javier - so gorgeous and humble and wonderful.
I agree that the montages should have been toned down a bit and the memorium was done poorly. I still teared up when I knew the end was coming and I knew who's face would be last.
10I was bored to tears. Ugh.
11I thought the Oscars was okay and Jon did a decent job. Let me tell you though, hi definition did no favors for celebrities' skin. Yikes.
12*were
13It kinda seemed to me that there were less big celebrities there...it was like they just kept showing the same ones over and over (Jennifer Garner, Jack Nicholson, etc)...it felt like it wasn't as star-studded as in the past..
14Jennifer Garner looks amazing. Absolutely flawless.
15I had to work and I missed the big show, I'm glad to hear that Juno didn't walk away empty handed, and that Owen Wilson made an appearance.
16Owen Wilson seemed a little out of it to me. He was leaning on the podium, and squinting at the teleprompter.
Jon was mediocre. Some of his jokes were barely smile worthy. And Hitler jokes are always flat.
17I'm glad Daniel-Day Lewis won! He was the only win I was excited about, everyone else, meh. Seeing Owen Wilson on stage was a nice suprise, but I had to laugh at all the squinting he was doing, he was probably really nervous...or needs glasses.
18There weren't any surprises except for Tilda S. Jon Stewart did ok, he was better than David Letterman. I was surprised that it went exactly on time according to the schedule that I found ONYD.
19And the only other thing is the four actors that won were not from the US. Only the Cohen Brothers were from the Us in the major categories.
WORST OSCARS EVER.
20Period.
I am sick and tired of looking at the same faces with the same expressions.
Britney should have been on the red carpet....THAT would have made it interesting.
BUT I have one thing that someone else surely must have noticed. How incredibly rude were the sound cut-offs during acceptance speeches.
"Oh, wow. Thank you, I'd just like to say a special word to-----"
***loud Oscar elevator music, actor embarrassingly walks off stage***
This happened so many times! It was pure rude!!
I know people can get up there and ramble, but COME ON. There's no need to be so ignorant to the actors accepting, either.
Wow, I must be in the minority here. I thought the show was pretty fun and I though Jon was funny. I guess you can't please everyone.
I do agree that the In Memorium really messed up with its omissions. I was shocked to see who was left out.
21I actually liked the show! Did anyone catch E!s red carpet preshow? I have already written an email to them to FIRE RYAN SEACREST. the man has the manners of a Hun. HE actually asked Jessica Alba if she was going to BREAST FEED! she looked so shocked, and then said "well thats personal" if i was her i would have looked at him, and just turned and left, and than instructed my husband to beat him mercilessly. WHO ASKS THAT?
22Seacrest is a d____bag.
23Aww, I enjoyed the Oscars.
24Agreed about Seacrest! He was horrible. When that horrible moment happened with Jennifer Garner and Gary Busey Ryan really showed his true colors. Laura Linney graciously was helping Jennifer get away but Ryan wouldn't let her go without asking her some inane question. What a tool!! And WTF was up with his tux? Brown lapels, really?
25it was ok i was kinda bored
26Ok, so I have been able to tolerate Ryan in the past, but last night was just ridiculous. Could people try to get away from him any faster? I honestly only caught 20 minutes last night and just watched the Jen Garner- Gary Busey thing. Lord Ryan, leave the woman alone, let her flee away please.
27He asked the most insane questions.
The show was a bit blah. Worst ratings ever I guess (14% down from the lowest rated Oscars-ever)!
I had high hopes....
Congrats to Javier Bardem, it was an historic ceremony for us in Spain, I loved his speech, it was really touching. GO JAVIER!,you made us proud
28Marion deserved it ~! I love it when the underdog wins. In this age of empty celebrity and actresses being known more for the publicity hype than for actual real talent her win is so refreshing.
