Ellen Page may not have walked home with an Oscar on Sunday night, but she did win best leading lady at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday. Seems more up her alley anyway, right? I'm sure she was mostly just happy to be able to get the hell out of California yesterday afternoon — methinks the red carpet hubbub makes the endearing young talent a little bit nervous. Can't say I blame her. Did anyone else watch her Barbara Walters interview after the show on Sunday? A little bit awkward when Walters demanded Page sing, right? Heh. Well, hopefully Ellen will have some relaxing down time before being forced into formal wear against her will. While this may have been Ellen's first time at the Oscars, I'm guessing it won't be her last.

I actually think her role in Hard Candy was better than her role in Juno. She played the character with such conviction. She's really talented, and seems so normal, I hope she goes far.

9i saw these pics on popUK and i have to agree that she seems much happier to be elsewhere than in hollywood - but i'm sure that has a lot to do with the fact that she's young and newly annointed to the spotlight. she's been in several movies - but it's only now that she's really getting noticed.

i saw her interview with barbara walters! it wasn't so bad that she mad her sing except for the fact that barbara walters was staring at her the entire time, and when barbara started to sing along i cracked up and was like.... awwwwkward.....
