Despite that bag, Jessica Simpson looked cute as a button making her way through LAX yesterday afternoon. She's been hanging out in LA for the past couple of weeks filling her time with lots of dinners out and the like, but soon she'll be bringing smiles to more than just any starstruck waiters. Jess is heading to Kuwait to perform for the troops as part of Operation MySpace along with the Pussycat Dolls and Carlos Mencia among others. Jessica said:
"It’s truly an honor to perform for the troops. Through Operation MySpace, I get to serve my country by doing what I love to do in front of thousands of brave men in uniform. It’s every girl’s dream!"
Sigh, somehow that didn't come out right but her heart is in the right place. While there's always some way to make fun of Jess, she definitely deserves applause for taking the time to visit the troops abroad and maybe even show off some of that country music she's been working on.

35She's entertained the troops at least three times before. I think in 2000, when she was dating Nick she went. Then the next year they both went and stayed on a military ship off shore. Then she and Nick went in 2004 and did that tv special. She has always gone with the USO and Wayne Newton. She and Nick also did a free USO concert in Hollywood . I think it was 2003. It was on Newlyweds. I went to that one.

41pink, did you know(and you can find this online, you tube, look up the comedy store and carlos mencia) george lopez hates carlos mencia, they call him carlos menstealia, b/c george says carlos stole alot of his routines/jokes. George Lopez went off on him too,lol. I love george lopez can't stand carlos mencia he built his whole comedy career off of other people( he stole from atleast 3 comics)everybody in the comedy circle knows this, he isn't original and he's part german and mexican but changed his name to seem more hispanic for the audience, but he talks like he grew up here or in mexico( he grew up in germany), but if others love him that is fine by me:)

45Loveallstar you are so way off base about Carlos Mencia. Seriously, if you're gonna talk crap about somebody get your facts straight. I have followed Carlos' career since 1995, he was the funniest comedian I had ever seen and he was extremely popular and packed the clubs everywhere he went but up until the last 4 years or so, his comedy has changed a bit and I don't find him nearly as funny as he used to be. His show? Gawd awful, i can't even watch it its so bad. Only his old fans know his true talent and if he really did steal jokes, then that was a sad mistake because they're not even funny. His problems with George Lopez probably go deeper than the joke stealing because I know for a fact that Carlos was supposed to get the tv sitcom, not George. Reguarding his background, his mother is mexican and his father is honduran and he was born in Honduras. Everyone knew this, its only a surprise to you new people who are just learning about him and making a big deal about it. This whole germany thing is being blown way out of proportion by a bunch of haters who just want to spread lies and make people dislike him more I guess. He did not grow up in Germany, I have no idea where you got that from. He grew up in los angeles. His father has some german blood in him...much like I as a mexican american have spaniard and indian blood in me. Much like you and everyone else in this world have some kind of foreign blood in you. And who in their right mind cares what she did with Nick waaaaay back in the day. Those times are over and it’s good that she’s moved on. Nick is the one that needs to boost his image but he never will with that trick by his side. Oh well that’s HIS problem. When I read that he gave Jessica his blessing to move on or marry I laughed. What a joke. Nick will say anything to get more press time being that Jessica gets more than him now.
And Jessica supporting the troops is a good thing no matter who she’s with at the time. We should all support them and pray for their safe return home.
