Last night's Golden Globe Winners were quite the eclectic group, eh? It's not often that within two hours you've got an inspirational new star like Jennifer Hudson bringing tears to everyone's eyes and Sacha Baron Cohen talking extensively about someone's anus. I mean, other than in online fan fiction.
America Ferrera continued to command the world to fall in love with her (seriously, BFF America? You can even have the BE/FRI half of the necklace) by single-handily helping the self-esteem of young women everywhere, while Helen Mirren looked seriously stunning on stage accepting her award. Best speech though, sorry, it's gotta go to Forest Whitaker. Heartbreak sweet, for real. Congrats to all the winners (and, of course, the nominees too). Hope the Moet continued to flow backstage!

3I don't see how anyone can call Beyonce fat. Curvy, yes, but not fat. It seems to me that Salma Hayek has gained some weight. She looks fabulous, though, but it's definitely noticeable.

5Did anyone else notice what I'm now calling the "British invasion?" Everytime someone stepped up to the microphone I heard a British accent. Hugh Laurie, Sienna Miller, Helen Mirren, Emily Blunt, Kate Winslet, etc.. I'm all for the British and everything, but it was pretty amusing.
6I loved Jennifer's and America's acceptance speeches, fav part of the show. Least favorite was Tom Hanks tribute to Warren Beatty, just not funny.

12i saw "The Queen" again yesterday before the show and i was thrilled that helen mirren won. she is just amazing! also so happy to see forest whitaker, jennifer hudson, and martin scorsese won. for once i actually agree with most of the awards handed out! oh, and reese, renee, and SJP looked amazing. you don't need a huge gown to look picture-perfect

And Sacha Baron Cohen's whole balls & ass monologue was a) gross b) kinda embarassing for his co-star and c) innappropriate for the GG's, oh well... Drew looked radient (& was making serious eyes at Hugh Grant IMO), most beautiful award definately goes to Reese, she looked SO gorgeous!
