Soccer brought David Beckham to Shanghai, but sports aren't the only thing he's got on his mind. Yesterday he found the time to make a very special trip to the Xinhua hospital to visit with the sick children there. Those big smiles on Becks and the kids are totally making our hearts melt. Sadly for David, there was one kid who'll be missing him today — it's Brooklyn's ninth birthday, but he'll have to wait until his dad gets back to the States for celebratory hugs and gifts. Definitely a bummer, but we have a feeling David and Posh will find a way to make it up to him.

14I don't doubt the sincerity of his actions, but come on. The guy is not THAT good looking! Maybe I need to see him out of the same beer googles most of you are looking through. Go to Venice Beach during the summer and you'll see guys that are ten times better looking than Pecks. Rhapsodizing over this idiot is risible. GIve me Hugh Jackman, Brad Pitt, Rob Lowe, George Clooney, Ben Affleck, etc. They are all better looking than "Pecks.'

I work for a children's foundation. i wish all of our celebrity hospital visits looked this genuine. he really looks to be sincere and happy to be there. most can't wait to get the photos ops over.

21I don't have any thing against the guy personally, because I obviously do not know him. He seems like a decent bloke with a big heart. I'm sure he is there of his own volution, which is admirable. However, he is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO overrated in the looks department. Being a decent human being makes him attractive, but his linaments are unremarkable at best. Kudos for visiting the hospital though.
