i think that she's just very fortunate to be able to not 'show' so early...like a lot of other people do. we fofrget that she's really tall and has always been in great shape. i think that she's also good at picking clothes that don't scream 'i'm preggo'

yay nicole! i hope this baby works out for her. i read that she hasn't had a lot of luck with other babies, so i'm crossing my fingers for her. from tom dumping her suddenly (which is totally ok, because he's freaking crazy and controlling) and keith's AA stuff, i really hope this baby comes through for her. that would be so nice for her. i like her and find her very gentle and well-spoken and i wish her happiness.

my friend is pregnant with her second child and she said you "pop" a lot earlier with your second- with your first it takes longer. since nicole never made it to this stage before..(i don't think anyways) maybe she's just taking a while to pop!

My sister was really thin all her life, with her first she didn't pop out until the end of her 5th month/beginning of her 6th month. We were all hanging out for 4th of July weekend at a friend's beach house and discussing how she didn't even look pregnant, 2 days later she popped out all of a sudden! It was freaky! So it can be possible.

I feel for these celebs that have to go to these lenghts to defend their pregnancies, which isn't even any of our business. Look at Elvis' daughter, she had to announce it because people were reporting she was fat. Nice. I think we should all be thankful that we don't have to put up with such scrutiny and judgement.

Working out (moderately) means a healthier pregnancy and baby! It's an old wives' tale that you're supposed to take it easy to prevent a miscarriage. Plus, I'm 5'!!" and I didn't show at all until I was 6 months. Not to mention, she looks pregnant - definitely showed in her face and chest, in a lovely way, at the Oscars. Her long, narrow body is stunning.

Take a look at Gabrielle Reece, she's an athlete who works out during her pregnancies. She hasn't harmed her baby? What about Denise Austin? That's all she does is workout and she has children.

As moisville stated very well, it's a positive that you work out during your pregnancy. You have a healthier baby, you have an easier labor, and you recuperate quicker after labor.

That thing about her children not calling her mom is blown out of proportion. She said that her children doesn't call her mommy, but they call her mom and sometimes Nicole.

I don't understand why people pick on her for being private. She used to be very private when married to Tom, but she finds it easier to be more open about things now, and it's better since it ends speculations about not being pregnant, for example.

My impression is that she is shy and sweet, but also determined and spontaneous, and I believe there are many people who misunderstand her. When she is emotional she is accused of playing the victim, and when she puts on a brave face she is accused of being cold.

She is probably rather insecure when it comes to her looks, and also a perfectionist. She should be less harsh on herself and allow herself to be less "perfect", especially now when she is pregnant.

Nicole Kidman is such a gracious, gorgeous actress and I wish her the best with her marriage and pregnancy. I do think that studies have shown one must be cautious when pregnant that you do not overdo it esp. if you've had previous miscarriages and I quote a study done in Denmark:

becoming fat during pregnancy is not healthy. just because lazy north americans with poor eating habits turn into blimps when they're gestating doesn't mean that's the way to do it.

nicole probably won't ever get huge, she's too long and lean, and there's nothing abnormal about that. it's incredible the way so many people think that anything different from their own narrow experience must be wrong or bad somehow.

no one here has a single clue how vigorous this woman's work outs are, all we see is photos of her coming or going to the gym, or going on a normal run thru' the park. we know NOTHING of this woman's life or activities.

that danish study contradicts itself. how is walking not "leisurely"? walking is twice the risk? i call shenanigans on any study that alludes to the need for pregnant women to not walk, lol. anyway, some of these "risks" might be true for your average lazy, junk food eating breeder, but if one has been fit and active all their life, they can't be held to the same low standards.

anyone who has had a miscarriage runs a higher risk - plus age (40) is another factor. Spinning classes would be considered very strenous and there were photos of her participating in those classes. I think common sense should prevail whether Danish, lazy North American or whatever.
