Jessica Simpson belted it out with a big smile on her face for the troops stationed in Kuwait last night as part of the Operation MySpace concert. While Jess was overseas for a good cause, her rep unfortunately still had to be busy shooting down rumors of her lavish demands, including luxuries like private planes and accommodations. Her rep told People, "She flew commercially, she is staying in the barracks. She's been with the troops all day. She's had her meals with them. She's not with Ken Paves. She has significantly scaled back her entourage. This was done purely to support the troops and entertain them." Kinda sucks that everything she does people try to cut her down, but hopefully last night's concert brought a smile to the faces of some of our brave men and women overseas.

5It's great to try to entertain the troops and all, but how exactly is she entertaining them? Her singing is more like screaming and her comedy bits center around her acting like a dumb airhead. Those poor soldiers.
6I am hardly a Jess fan but come on....the woman is OVER THERE while the haters sit at their computer making stories about who is doing her hair and where she is sleeping. I'm sure if you asked any male (or some female) troops they would tell you that they are thrilled that she took the trip to visit them. So for that, I say Go Jessica!

11i think the girl used to be able to sing- now all she does is that breathy 'i'm so sexy' cr*p. but that is neither here nor there. i'm sure her going over there is a nice break from the soldier's day to day activities and if it brightens their day for a moment- then more power to her- its a nice gesture.

Anyway, I think overall, Jess is a nice person, she just comes accross to me and probably others that do not like her as fake. As in, everything she does has a reason behind it, she is not sincere.She is WAY TOO DESPERATE FOR FAME.
She is really desperate to be good at something, and she has mediocre talent in my eyes. It is actually painful to watch her sing.

Her rep said she's not taking Ken Paves but is taking a hairstylist, a make up person, her body guard and her Dad. 40Oh please any one of us could use a little vacation to Kuwait. It's not like her life is in danger, if it was she probably would have never went there. I doubt she paid her own expenses and did anything that actually mattered to those soldiers, except showed some skin which I'm sure some definitely appreciated. She doesn't have money to donate and no talent to show off, everything she does is upstaged by her disgusting father to try and keep her relevant. If I had a private jet take me to Kuwait and drop me off at a luxury hotel with a $10K a day hairdresser, I wouldn't think twice about it either.
