Why is she selling sacks made of material and calling it fashion? *Anyone* could design that. I mean it too, this isn't some random nasty comments spawned from jealousy, I seriously believe this.
If she wants to be a serious designer, why not make stuff normal people can wear? I mean women with curves. If I wore what she's wearing it'd look like I as wearing a shapeless tent.

Someone send her back to the beach she came from ._. she's soo annoying.

It's too bad that there are so many talented designers who work for years, do real internships, put themselves through school, and will never get this amount of attention for their work.

Given that she has no real background or training, she's about as qualified as the Hilton girls to be a clothing designer. I wish the media would stop giving so much attention to people with no talent.

I love Lauren! She does work hard to get what she wants. Why is Kristin there, though? Are they okay now? I'm curious about that. Also for some reason, I think it's kinda cute seeing Stephen there.

well i guess that it's nice that she's able to show during fashion week - it's like she's one of the few celebs that's had a collection that's successfully shown more than once.

as for brody and kristen - those 2 make me ill when i see them together - but oh well. hopefully kristin won't be showing up on this season of the Hills....and i see that there's a fight brewing between LC and Brody when she gets back from paris so we'll see what happens there.

Whatever.... So overrated. Her clothes will only sell in one place and that's Laguna Beach.

i think the clothes are cute enough- but nothing special. they don't really seem to require a runway show to show them off ya know? i mean its not like they are very intricate or detailed- they are cotton dresses. stylish cotton dresses, yes but still.

I heard the only reason she was hired as an intern at teen vogue was because they thought the show would boost their sales.

So I am sure that she's being used by some company or another in a similar way and that is why she was given a clothing line.

im happy for her! its very exciting, and she's had this dream for a long time. however, if you go to her website her clothes aren't really up to par. they are overpriced and the designs are not that interesting. hopefully she progresses as a designer and comes out with stronger pieces in the future.

I think it's great that she's starting to acheive her dreams at such a young age ... I can't be a hater, I think it's fabulous. Granted the designs aren't much of a stretch, but everyone has to start somewhere and I think she's doing a great job.

nice to see that she can afford to buy a 2 mil dollar home from being on a fake scripted reality show.
bozos who watch that FAKE trash and buy her boring and overpriced rags are helping her live that lifestyle while most americans can't afford to put gas in their cars.
we live in a society where doing drugs, boozing, rehab, flashing your privates makes you even more popular and rich.
it is really sad.

I happen to LOVE lauren and her clothes. And for those who say she doesnt have experience, Lauren has been attending FIDM for 2 years and went to the Academy of Art for 1 year.

Good for her, BUT.....the clothes are too drapey and BORING. They look like they're all made of jersey knit and I don't know if they're really worth a runway show.

I hate that I like that show but I really dont like any of the people except for Whitney. She seems the most normal and head on straight out of the whole group.

sure, the clothes are cute, and I'd wear some of them, but lets be honest here folks.
a fashion show is about the NEW. its new ideas, new shapes, new concepts, new materials, new looks.
there is nothing new about her collection, and quite honestly the only thing that ties it all together are the jersey knit and the fact that WE'VE SEEN IT ALL BEFORE.

This is such an insult to real fashion designers. Both Nicky and Lauren should be ashamed of themselves. A company approching you to lend your name to pre-exiting clothes doesn't make you a designer. What a joke. I'm going to sound contradicting for a second but the only celebrity endorsed clothing line I support is The Row. At least they are carried at Barneys 4th floor with all the big designer's like Balenciaga , Rick Owens etc. The Fabrics and cuts are amazing and since I own a couple of items they are very $$$. Ashley Olsen designs them and keeps a low profile with the line so that her name and sister's doesn't over-shadow it. Not to mention the fact that every Major Publication in Fashion supports the line and thinks it's the best 21 simple and classic pieces yet.

I could buy it all at Target... there's only one pattern... you wouldn't even have to buy the fabrics at a designer store...

The truth is I don't have a problem with the designs... they're all very wearable... but how can you charge the prices she does at the quality/originality of the designs?

i think she did a great job! i liked most of the pieces in her collection and she should be proud! maybe she didn't go about things the "typical" way, but these days, who does? at least she's doing something with her life!

Ashley Olsen does not design the row and have not taken any course in designing or fashion. They have a designer who design the collection and they make final decisions. Get your fact straight not one of the olsen twins can even sketch a t shirt.

UGH! I can't stand her (or anyone with a reality show)! She's just a rich girl, with an ordinary sense of fashion, and slutty friends, and ex-friends...

Ashley Olsen does design The Row. I'm not going to try to explain it to someone who doesn't even own a piece. There are many designers who can't sketch they hire someone for that. They have a vision pick out the fabrics , edit, style, sew, etc..
