I know, I know, it's been hours, HOURS, since we last checked on Lindsay Lohan's progress at rehab (and for those of you that are camped out outside the clinic singing hymns of support, sorry about the weather!), but our little fighter has finally spoken about how things are hanging in her neck of the withdrawal woods. (BTW, how's it for irony that Lindsay Lohan looked the best she has in a while on the night she hit rock bottom?) OK Magazine reports:
"I'm doing so great, thanks," the 20-year-old singer and actress told OK! in an exclusive interview from her suite at L.A.'s Wonderland Center rehabilitation facility. "I'm fine. Nothing to worry about. Thank you so much for checking in, I do appreciate it...I'm actually watching American Idol at the moment and laughing so hard!"
Really? It wasn't that funny last night. Methinks everything may not be out of her system yet. Thank god, though, Dina Lohan is also around to spew stuff out of her mouth on the state of her daughter. She's just soooo supportive. Star Magazine has this gem:
"I'm so proud of her. She's really in a good place right now, spiritually and mentally. She's in an amazing, phenomenal place. She's 20 and she's solid, and she's doing what she needs to do. I don’t know that many people who are that secure. It's all about her, and getting back on track. She's fine — she’s amazingly fine."
Yes, Dina. Your daughter. IN REHAB. Is fine. You may go back to partying now, no need to worry about her.

1Dina is worse than Lindsey... ugh. Funny how she's been in for a day and she's doing "great" and Dina says she's "amazingly fine." These two are the queens of spin control, and they make me a little ill. I am just glad we'll finally get a break from them both... maybe?

16Well for once I think I'm going to defend Lohan. Yes, she's 20 years old and she's in rehab. Yes, she's not legal yet. But can you honestly say none of you ever drank before you hit 21? I'm almost 24 now and I am sober---after rehab at the age of 19. Her mom is her enabler (that is so obvious) but I for one am proud of Lindsay. It takes guts to come forward and get help like that, ESPECIALLY living in the public eye like she does. It's so funny. I see so many people complaining about her partying too much and then when she goes and gets help they have something catty to say about that too. Kind of a double standard don't you think?

24Somewhere else it says LL fell asleep (or passed out) on the floor in the hotel hallway after Prince's party Monday night and was found there at 6 am. Wasn't anyone with her?
25They make my stomach feel queasy. There is no reason any "healthy" person would chase after attention the way Lindsay does. A "good Mom" would not support her daughter's bad habits the way Dina does. Very sad...but I wish they would heal in private.

Ugh. Dina is the worst person for her daughter to be around right now. I'd hazard a guess that parents who do not use permissive parenting styles rarely wind up with their kids in rehab. Dina is an ENABLER and places more importance on being her daughter's best friend rather than her MOM. Maybe Dina is afraid if she speaks out against what LL has (had?) been doing, she'd be booted off the gravy train.

This sad, repulsive situation aside, yet AGAIN LL's shoes are fabulous! Who can find out what they are and where I can buy them in Seattle? My God, the girl has fantastic taste in footwear.

It's quite another, however, to say that you're PROUD and that 'she's doing what she needs to do' when all she does is getting drunk and throw tantrums! And in 'a fabulous place'? I hope she's talking about the rehab centre, and not about where Lindsay is mentally... God, at least we know now where Lindsay got her ways from!

47I heard on the radio that a group of the people associated with the movie she's currently working on were in the hotel & when word got back to them that she passed out in the hallway, they threatened her with a lawsuit if she didn't go to rehab because her behavior had already cost the production company btwn 3 & 5 mill. She's not doing this of her own accord. And for her mom to say that she's in such a wonderful place? What a flipping idiot!
