I never had any disrespect for Ashlee. I think she's a pretty brave girl after that SNL issue!!!

I'm Proud of Ashlee on what she did with her Nose, as for Jessica Proud of her too she had Lasik Eye Surgery Told the simpson Girls we're put in for some Good Use.

i voted no- but not cause i'm anti cosmetic surgery- its cause she played so coy when she got it done, for the publicity of being coy. and now she's chosing to speak about it kinda- doesn't she have a new album coming out? its all too convenient. she should just done what kelly rowland did- when the rumors started and people noticed she said yep i did it cause it made me happy.

I do like her, and I think she looks cute with her nose job and all. BUT i do think she is only giving this interview because she has a new album to promote. Everyone knows she had work done, and I dont think she is the type of girl to need to explain her actions to people.

I just found it funny that she acted all "I'll never tell" about the whole thing... it was like, you CLEARLY had your big nose downsized.. but I love her!

I go back and forth on Ashlee Simpson. One day I like her, one day she annoys me.

I wouldn't say she's come clean about the nose job. She never says, "yes, I had it done." This is the same way she's been dealing with it since last year and her Harper Bazaar cover shoot, as well.

She also has a lot of double speak in the quote in the magazine. Telling people you should always really think hard before plastic surgery, which I think is very important, but then says she didn't think she was that ugly before. WTF?

I have to give her kudos, because she at least answers the question to some degree, unlike many of her counterparts and even her sister.

I totally respect her for coming clean about this. If you really can't stand something about yourself and feel you have to change it to be comfortable (I thought she looked quirky and cute before, but that's just me) then go for it! So many celebs hide this stuff and I'm glad she's putting it out there!

I've never liked Ashlee, so I don't think my level of respect for her is altered at all. I respect her as a human being, as I respect all living things, but I've never respected her as "an artist." I don't think it's brave to admit she had plastic surgery, which everyone already knew. If how she looks now make her happier, good on her.

For a while there she was a Jessica clone and a total barbie, but now she's coming into her own.

I'm of the "Who GIVES a flying rats you-know-what!" Camp. She never DENIED having it, she just didn't cop to it. So WHO CARES?!?! Celebrities are allowed some privacy and honestly what the hell difference does it make if she did or if she didn't? It's HER face and HER money and HER life, not ours!

Why would I have more respect that she admitted her surgery? Big freakin deal. I don't care about her or what she does. And admitting that she had the surgery isn't some huge sacrifice or monumental decision. People have been speculating for a while now and she just decided to admit it now because she wants some extra publicity right now. She was just saving up this "admission of guilt" for some slow publicity time.

I would say no, but not for the reason listed. I just dont really have an opinion of her either way. I did find her "like, duh" comment amusing though.

i put her in the same catagory as rumor willis. you can have a famous relative or 2 and you can be shoved up our asses because of that, but you are not someone i would pay to see and in fact if are appearing in something i would be more likely not to go and see it. i don't expect you to go away (though i wish you would and hope you do) and know that you will show up on things like "hollywood squares-where are they now" and "christmas parade in nashville with the following 200 next-to-nobody-stars!!!"

I don't think I would ever gain respect for anybody just because they admitted to having plastic surgery. I might gain a little respect for her when she stops acting like a dumbass. She looks good but looks don't equal respect. Wait a minute, this is Hollywood we are talking about so never mind.

Not really. She is still her big sis shadow. She should have come clean from the start, then yes, I'd respect her. Why is she coming out about it now? Mmmmh? In desperate need of attention, perhaps?

I dont have a lack of respect for people who get plastic surgery regardless as to whether or not they admit it.

Most of the time I think they did not need to do it, but I definitely can relate from personal experience that feeling insecure or obsessing about a part of your body sucks, and if there was any way to end that obsession then go for it.

Additionally, I "respect" her as an "artist" more than her sister. Even tho both of their music is kinda lame, hers is catchier and its useful for listening to while I'm working out at the gym. Its very upbeat!
