Madonna isn't going to let a few rocky marriage rumors slow her down. The pop star didn't have her man by her side when she was inducted into the Hall of Fame so people began whispering the same old story. Instead of hiding, Madonna went to dinner with her good friend Gwyneth who seems to be battling the same rumors over and over again as well. Maybe it's just something with American women married to British men but no matter how many nasty things people say, they seem to be doing just fine. Madonna's rep released a statement to squash the recent reports of an upcoming split. Liz Rosenberg said,
"I am delighted to confirm that Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ritchie remain happily married. Though they were in different countries recently – Madonna in the U.S. doing promotion for her upcoming album Hard Candy and Guy finishing up post production on his new film RocknRolla as well as completing a Nike commercial and working on several scripts in England – the family are joyfully back together at home in London. All is well and wonderful in the Ritchie household."

1There's more info out there beyond the publicist statement. Like the recent interview with Guy's dad that says their marriage is on the rocks.
2okay, i might be grasping at straws , but that statement smacks of desperation - they really need people to believe they're ok; but do they actually think issuing out a statement will stop the rumours? If their marriage is all good then it should be fine that they know it, trying to convince the public otherwise is pretty hard, esp when you got mags every week using quotes from "friends" etc.
3All is well and wonderful in the Ritchie household, except, by the looks of it, Madonna's hair.
4I don't know. Having a publicist make a statement about how happy their marriage is makes it seem like it's not so happy. If they know that they're happy and everything is fine, why bother trying to convince the world?

6people are so quick to spread rumors sometimes. remember that both of these women have been in the US spotlight for sooo long and their men haven't had the same sort of attention, so it's really not their thing. besides...someone has to stay home and watch the kids. give them a break!

11I don't like Guy, never did. Madonna changed for the worse after she married him, which just makes me like him less.
12people let's not criticise Madge's hair, cos i'm thinking the last time someone said something bad about her features, we ended up with her drastic face-lift(or more accurately, face-stretch)
13I think if I was famous and had the chance to just half ass do my own hair and dress as comfy as I can, I would look WAY worse than Madonna.
