Oscar winner Javier Bardem was out with a friend in his hometown of Madrid yesterday afternoon hopefully still on a high from all the award season accolades. He was keeping it casual, and looking handsome I might add — sigh, love him. While No Country For Old Men was by far his breakout role of 2007, I'm excited to rent Love in the Time of Cholera to see him as the leading man in one of my favorite books (even if it got lukewarm reviews). Other roles where I'd like to see more of Javier? Alongside his equally gorgeous girlfriend Penelope Cruz.

they actually have been in two movies together when they were younger.
1I really dont like Penelope, so can they urry up and break up so he can get back to full manjoyment status again.
2I went home the other day to see my sister had rented Love in the Time of Cholera for just the same reason!
3Is it only me who is seriously freaked out by this guy? He scares the beejeejee's out of me. Probably his oscar-winning role has a lot to do with it, but man he's scary looking.

8I'm with you gals that think he's narsty. I do not find him attracive at all. I can at least see the appeal of Jake, Shia, Adam, even if I only find them a little sexy. I just think that Javier looks like a shovel face.

15it took me awhile to see the appeal of Javier but yes, i do get it. he's just so damn MANLY. he's like a Spanish lumberjack with great acting skills.
the one i don't care about it is Shia but i guess that's cuz i like my men with some meat on them! but to each their own, right?

successful career thus far right? i hope that he and penelope get to be more comfortable in the spotlight together- they are a pretty couple.
20Molly: If you haven't seen "Before Night Falls", then you should rent it asap. Definitely a better performance by Javier than No Country and he looks great, too.
