Lauren Conrad scored the cover of the latest issue of Us Weekly, along with a headline portraying her as the victim yet again. She wasn't thrilled with the way her interview was spun, and already blogged about it on her MySpace page, saying, "The article itself is a nice one but it follows headlines that, in no way, represent my words or feelings. I do not feel betrayed by Audrina or Brody. I love them both and said nothing to contradict this. I understand that headlines sell magazines, but I value my friendships above magazine sales any day." What do you think — did LC's interview get an unfair headline?
she said those words. maybe think before u speak.
1Other--this girl gets so much press anyway--for what, really??
2Please people do not buy this magazine so maybe they will stop putting her on the cover.
3She looks PISSED in that photo. LOL.
4these brats need to grow up and be grateful they don't have to work for a living.
5psh.. why in the world did she even discuss how she felt in an interview if she's not prepared to take any misinterpretations..
6Where's the option for:
Who cares- These people aren't celebrities!
7Her job is to fake drama in her life for TV. She wanted that headline so she could make more headlines. It all sells the new season of her show.
8Then don't do an interview with US Weekly!
9Who in the holy hell is this person and why is Popsugar and UsWeekly giving her so much coverage? Does she have a movie out? A hit TV show? Participated in a newsworthy event? No?! Then please, I beg you SugarMavens, stop covering these pseudocelebrities and move on to the real ones!
10MasterPuppeteer, she does have a hit show. The Hills is one of the most popular shows out there so I don't really get why people always ask who she is and why is she famous...
And, while I realize their job is certainly not a tough one, they do have jobs. Being on the show and promoting it, LC just launched her own fashion line, and she does go to school too. That sounds like a busy schedule to me.
11i think the press needs to take more responsibility for what they print. if indeed the actual article (and i don't read US, so i don't know) doesn't reflect the headline at all then it is just a shameful attempt to make something out of nothing to sell magazines...and YES, i know that's the name-of-the-game in gossip AND magazine sales, but it just sours me to the whole thing and makes me seriously consider MY role as a consumer in the whole rise and fall of the hollywood it girl du jour. perhaps this is the wrong forum for this, but one of the things i like about this site (versus a perezhilton or tmz) is that it just doesn't feel as sleezy. And while US isn't exactly Time magazine, if they make it a habit to make stuff up, then they really are just the "National Enquirer" in "People's" clothing...and perhaps celebs just need to treat them as such and stop giving interviews to them.
wow, i think this comment makes it seem like i care more about Lauren, Brody and Audrina than I actually do. LOL.
12Even though I love US Weekly, they definitely love their dramatic headlines as a way to stir and create drama. She lives with Audrina and is friends with Brody, so I doubt they actually stabbed her in the back. It's just the magazines way of drawing people in. And look, it worked.
13Looks like Us is desperate for some "news." Isn't there ANYTHING more interesting to put on their cover? Reality stars make me yawn.
14Its totally for the press because of her new fashion line. Read today's Wall Street Journal - Weekend section. It's all about how every single move she makes is calculated, by her agents and parents, for good press and to keep her in the headlines so she can sell her clothes and increase her Lauren Conrad 'brand' awareness.
15oh please. like they are her friends any ways. in hollywerido, there's no real friend.
16Blah, Blah Blah, The Hills, barf, who cares. They are the most annoying 'reality' cast ever. Make them go away already!
17They have the most boring life! How could anybody in Hollywood live like this?
18Us Weekly has the worst headlines, they dramatize everything. If someone breaks a nail, it becomes something about a celeb breaking her finger. Ridiculous.
19who the voted yes LMAO. why won´t this girls just go away, why why!!!! their not actresses, yet I always end up seeing pics of them here, again why!!!!
20Why does anyone even cares? She's a fugly z-lister.
21yea LC is not an actress, shes a fashion designer. I understand why people are sick of seeing Heidi and Spencer because they are nothing.
Audrina, all she does is work for some company.
Lo is just cute and adorable, i would watch her anytime.
Lc and Whitney both are doing something instead of just trying to get famous.
22wait...i'm confused. isn't the whole show scripted "reality" anyway? it's fake reporting on a fake reality show.
23I am sorry, but I can't stand these character who just became famous from a "reality" show. I just wished it would die down.
24All of this is scripted and planed, it bores me so much. First Heidi Montag and now her, of course all in time with this special episode or whatever it is. Also the Paris Hilton/Guru story, so annoying. Does anyone actually believe these things? Those "reality" shows are all scripted, there's absolutely no reason why they should take the risk and actually do a real reality show.
25What authors publish should be held to a level of validity. However, LC or any individual interviewed for gossip magazines should understand that these newspapers want to grab the audience's attention with trashy headlines and fabricated stories.
26was there a need for her to be on the cover anyway?
27Everyone wants to capitalize on this girl fame. Did USweekly really needed to put her on the cover, I love the hills but will not buy usweekly.
28she's offically starting to annoy me now
29"Where's the option for:
Who cares- These people aren't celebrities!"
I totally agree with you on that one. Pop just doesn't word our options correctly sometimes, especially on this voting option.
30Who knows? I haven't read the interview but if she's talked about these topics, then it's highly likely it will become the headline.
31who cares...
32you have to expect a headline like that when you get interviewed by a womens mag!
33Just more drama in her life. That's what its all about though isn;t it. I like Laure thoug Heidi can't stand her.
34oh god . i actually loved it when LC spoke out . maybe now people wont buy so many of those damn magz. that are so fake and untrue! Now that lauren finally spoke out.
35Who gives an ef? Whats more important is WHY DIDNT MY US WEEKLY COME IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY OR TODAY??
AND WHERE THE EF IS IT???
36Thats what happens in showbiz. I like her picture.
37Who the hell cares? They're all sluts!
38why do we care about lauren? boring.
39who cares
40Who is she and why does she even matter?
Goodness sake - it's a shame that we can not create a celebutard blocker for these useless people.
Was that harsh?
41yes and no - i think that they were goign to put a headline on there to sell copies - which is what happened i'm sure - but to an extent it's kind of mean. i don't know. with the season premier tonight- we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
42Those are really bad headlines. It doesn't make Lauren look good, as well as all the people around her.
43i really don't care
