All the girls — Whitney, Audrina, LC . . . and Mariah Carey — came out in Times Square last night to celebrate the much-anticipated premiere of the new season of The Hills. Noticeably absent, of course, was one Miss Heidi Montag, or should I say future Mrs. Pratt. I think we can all agree that she's not much of a feminist hero, but it was pretty awesome when she kicked Spencer to the curb last night — even if we know their breakup didn't exactly stick. The showdown between Heidi and Spencer in Crested Butte (heh) was just the beginning.
Lauren and Whitney finally got to take their trip to Paris to help Teen Vogue with the Crillon Ball. There was drama (as we already knew) with Brody and his new girlfriend back in LA, but it was out of sight out of mind as she got her midnight motorcycle ride around Paris after the ball. Very romantic, no? But then it was "back to reality," as Whitney said, and the girls headed back to LA — and to all the drama that has yet to unfold, including, ugh, more Stephanie Pratt. What did you think: Still loving The Hils?

As always...Whitney looks the best!!!!!
1Whitney looks cute.
2well i guess it was nice to see the premier and all of the hulla balloo around it. i think that heidi looked a mess in the premier though - what's with ALL THE MAKEUP and the plumped up lips and all that. you'd think that she's be more down to earth being from crested butte.
3the show was lacking last night, the french guy looked hella old, too old for lauren.
4the dress drama was funny, only because it happened with a curling iron
and heidi looks more and more like a plastic doll
I'm excited to see more of Lo this (part) of the season!
I love the show, but Lauren makes some pretty stupid decisions sometimes. I mean...Hello?! Why would you wear the dress out to a bar the night BEFORE you're supposed to wear it, and then leave a hot curling iron plugged in near a silk dress?
As far as Heidi goes, I was so distracted by her horrible lips/teeth that I couldn't concentrate on any words that were actually coming out of her mouth.
5Haha! Obviously me and citizenkane thought the same thing.
6the more work Heidi gets done....the worse she looks.
7oh, Lauren. Sometimes you are a silly, silly girl. How convenient that you got a replacement dress in the nick of time. Love the show, but geez.
Heidi looks like a completely different person. Those lips. Ew.
I love that Lo is going to be on more this season, and love the cameo by Stephen, however, I think Lauren needs someone completely new. No Jason. No Brody. No Stephen.
8Heidi looks a hot mess, all that makeup! and the nose job sooo obvious. But I must admit, I like the way she was treating the douche when he came to her crib unexpected!
Lauren can be an airhead at times! But shes still cool in my book.
Whitney is my fav. I like her style, shes smart, funny and very calm.
I told myself i wouldnt watch this season but its either The Hills or Flavor of Love 3...yea.
BTW, Mariah's performance was WHACK! Her voice was horrible, I think her dress was so tight so couldnt sing properly. And EWW on the gold jacket - I mean c'mon.
9The way Lauren treated those designer dresses was appalling. I seriously cannot believe that she wore the dress the night before to a smokey club, burned it with a curling iron and then wore the replacement dress on the back of a motorcycle in the rain. Horrible.
10Mariah, Mariah, Mariah... still trying to dress like a 20-year old. Standing next to the Hills gals makes it that much more obvious how silly you look.
11I thought the Paris thing will be awesome (that's what I've been wanting to see), but eh, it's not as good as I thought it's going to be.
Although I love the whole 'ball' thing, it's so fancy, but what's the...purpose again? I hardly see the girls working there at all. But oh how I miss Paris..it's years since I've been there, gosh...and they're so lucky to be getting expensive gown, getting all these 'star' treatments..I'm just jealous on that.
As for the Heidi, eh, I can't bear to watch her 'scene' at her parents house when her manwh*re visits because it's really awful to include your parents when you're trying to scold/alienate/be mean your bf/fiancee/what-have-you--plastic man there. It's just uncomfortable to watch (since I'm a parent myself and I can't imagine my kid pulling that stuff in front of me/including me in their biz...in front of a camera crew too
).
I can't imagine how her parents really feel. IF those people on tv last night were her real parents
12I always think this, but Whitney, by far, outshines the other girls. She is pretty, but I think what makes her really stand out, is that she doesnt seem so one demsional. I feel like she could actually be someone I could have a conversation with, whereas all LC and Audrina have to talk about are boy and shoes.
And I hate how LC always poses the same 2 ways..either facing front with her legs crossed and her
arms on her hips, or standing to the side, looking out of the corner of her eye, with her hand on her hip...it drives me CRAZY!
13wow...there were so many things wrong with my last comment..Im out of it today..sorry.
14they need a new actress to play the role of heidi. she isnt believable anymore. but the france trip was cute, i must admit.
15
16whitney is adorable. heid, heidi, i wish she would have stayed her normal self. it would be easier to believe what she says. i still love lauren and audrina too. its such my guilty pleasure show.
17I am going to start calling Lauren "teapot" because that is the only pose she knows, "smile fake, arm on him, cross legs (or not, thats optional)" same for audrina, "deer in headlights" look.
all of them have zero charisma, and thats what ultimatly leads to longevity in "hollywood"
18*hip
19the hills, the show, the girls and spencer pratt... all stupid and useless
20There's something about Whitney!
Yea, I prefer Whitney to LC and Audrina. I don't know, Whitney seems more quiet, dignified (maybe because she's quiet?), and I like how she tries to not get too involved in the whole LC, Heidi, Audrina drama. She seems pretty neutral and unemotional, which made me give her lots of props (since I know girls at her age--including when I was their age--are pretty...emotional).
I like that she's finding what she wants to do. Although I think sometimes her outfits are miss instead of hit, but she carries them all very well that I always like her regardless what she wears.
But Heidi on the other hand, complete opposite than Whitney..I agree w/ whoever says her nose looks so fake. That's what I notice the most, and it's just no way I enjoy watching her at all. I really want a better actress to play Heidi. PLEASE.
What a guilty pleasure show for me
21In my opinion the season premiere made Lauren look quite irresponsible. I would have never even imagined wearing a borrowed designer dress to anything besides the event I was supposed to wear it to. I thought it was an extremely selfish thing to do. AND she also decides to hem it herself!
I guess the burning part might have happened even if she hadn't worn the dress but really, after seeing how she reacted would any designer even want to loan her a dress?
But what angered me the most was that she was crying because she wouldn't have anything to wear to the ball (can someone say selfish), not because she ruined someone else's property...that was appalling.
I liked Lauren but now I'm starting to think twice...
(Sorry about the long rant).
22Whitney looks adorable. She is so much more mature and intelligent than the others.
23Audrina looks pretty. She's growing on me like a fungus.
24i think last night's episode was the first (to me) that this show is extremely scripted. it was way too obvious. "should we get the shoes first or the dresses? lets get the dresses!" and then the shoe place is closed. "oh i'm gonna wear my fancy gown to the club the night before" and who curls their hair in front of the tv when i'm sure they had a huge bathroom! that was just too much.
25Does anyone remember the 'super' intern from New York that was on last season? I think her name was Emily Weiss?? They should do a show around her. I liked her.
26I never seen this show but it seems like it's not something I would want to watch
27yiddidea, you took the words straight outta my mouth!
28I was gasping with shock when she hopped on that vespa in her second dress!
Also, it seemed like it was morning when she got back? Was LC getting a little sumthin'-sumthin' in the City of Love? Because it was morning for sure when she and Whitney were doing their re-cap!
I personally LOVE Whitney and Lo the most
29how about how they used the EXACT same french rap song as used when carrie is in paris on sex & the city? does only 1 french rap song exist?
30Mariah is such a diva - squeezing Audrina out of the pic on their premiere night!
31Mariah actually fits in nicely! gosh.
32Why was Heidi wearing so much make-up?? I'm almost surprised that she wasn't caked in the stuff when she went skiing with her mom.
*sigh* LOVED the Paris scenes...I've only been there once, but still loved seeing The Hills' take on it, and definitely want to go back soon...
Lauren's guy was old, but you must admit, out of the 4 or 5 they showed he was the best.
And the whole debacle with the dress was totally a set-up. There's no way a designer would give her another dress to wear, unless it was a rental or they paid for it. It was pretty ridiculous she wore it out the night before though, especially to a club!
33ok....prepare yourselves for some venting.
As someone who works in fashion i was APALLED by what i viewed last night. It was utterly ridiculous. And im positive (after all the text i recieved last night) that many in the fash world were feeling the same way. First of all, they two "Teen Vogue interns" go to paris.. the city that created and STILL PIONEERS what we know as haute couture, or high fashion today and they get into the car and Whitney (the supposed Head of Interns or whatever the f*ck she is) mispronounces Givenchy. Are u KIDDING ME?! This is a couturier worn by Audry Hepburn til the end of her life and is a fashion ICOn and you...a VOGUE intern dont know how to pronounce it? (Must be an LA thing because in New York you would have been reprimanded and ridiculed several times) Then the Feretti fiasco......WTF?!!!! U BURNED A FERETTI DRESS?!!!!!!!!!!
All i have to say is kudos to Vogue/Teen Vogue/Conde Nasty (lol) to dropping their asses. Viewers need to realize this is NOT how the fashion industry works and real fashionistas take these things incredibly serious, and just because ur life is an ongoing publicity stunt, doesnt mean you ridicule decades of French Fashion in on swift blow. No intern at Conde Nast would ever DREAM of acting that way, I'm honestly sick to death the Hills being somewhat linked to the fashion industry because its a beyond a fabrication at this point...its just outright bullsh*t.
34lol after scanning my post...i need some SERIOUS editing. *Appalled. *texts. *these, not they
35the dress drama was staged because it was so inevitable that lauren would mess up. however i just want to say the real stars of this episode were heidi's parents, they just couldn't hide their contempt for spencer!
36Whitney does always look the best! She's so adorable. LOVE her.
37la belle: agreed on Givenchy, i am no fashionista but even i was unimpressed with that blooper!
38I hate Mariah Carey almost or maybe as much as I hat Lindsay Lohan. She is ugly and tacky. The Hills is a television show and not real. It is sad that not everyone has gotten that yet.
39I thought Whitney and Lauren looked gorgeous in their gowns for the ball. What was LC thinking going out in her dress the night before the big ball? She needs to move on quickly from Brody because frankly he is not worth. I refuse to comment on speidi.

42Spanx!!!
43La Belle: I'm not in the industry, nor do I know hardly anything about how to pronounce names, but I agree with you on all of that. I understand why you're annoyed.
I thought the whole "premiere" was anticlimactic. Like others have said already, this show is so scripted, duh... It's also apparent to where they don't care too much about editing and how much the time/date/outfits/people don't match up scene to scene.
Oh well.
44Whitney should get her own show- i would totally watch it!
Audrina, I love you, you are ador'ble.
Lauren- why do I feel like you got some botox or restylane in your face? You were smiling all weird and your face didn't look normal...it is so interesting that you got a replacement dress and that Alberta Ferretti would loan you a white dress after you ruined that first one.. I don't think that happens often.
45Haha it was cute how drunk Lauren was at the hotel bar...she was all squeaky and squealy!
46LC was SO dumb: curling iron & motorcycle ride in the rain with the 2nd loan dress. Whitney sounded bad because she didn't know how pronounce the house properly. They made Teen Vogue look cheesy.
47Thanks LaBelle you have said everything that has been in my head since this show started. I have been in the industry since I left college so 12 plus years and am completely shocked by how little they actually know about fashion. No, it is not an LA thing I grew up in Portland, OR and I have always known how to say Givenchy. It comes down to them not knowing their job.
48The Paris city scenes were absolutely gorgeous and Lauren and Mattheias(?) riding the moped reminded me of "Roman Holiday", making it romantic enough for me. But Lauren's crush on Brody is getting tired and old and her old fling stephen isn't exciting either. I missed not seeing Audrina in last nights episode but could've done w/o Spencer and his equally annoying sibling. I did laugh when Heidi's dad kept giving Spencer the evil stare but other than that, Heidi and Spencer were too boring. Mariah did sounded like she had issues with her throat and did not fit well with the Hills girls.
49I wonder how much they paid Vespa boy to drag her ass around and pretend to be interested in Lauren?
