Oh, Britney, Britney, Britney, will you ever learn...or pay a responsible amount of attention to your kids...or realize that your career suicide is something that should probably be addressed in a more substantial way than an online missive to your fans? Though the starlet (is she really a starlet anymore? What would you call her? Pop Idol on Hiatus?) is ending many of her nights at the recording studio, things may not be so happy over at Jive Records, the company set to release her comeback album. Page Six reports:
"Right now, she is trying to lay down some tracks, but no one is keen to move very quickly because there is the issue of how to market the album," an insider said. "Jive hasn't even picked producers for the album."
The record execs are also concerned about Britney's image. "If she doesn't clean up her act - and soon - it is going to be a problem. The public has grown really tired of her antics and despite her and [manager Larry Rudolph] promising she would change, she hasn't," continued our source. "She has lost her core fan base of teen girls."
She has also, it should be noted, lost her core fan base of horny men of all ages. Damn shame, too, because they were the ones buying the albums to drool over the photos in the liner notes (and secretly rock out to the songs alone in their cars).

Brit is really done at this point. Look At tranny Simpson... she did not have half the bad press and she is a laughing stock. Brit.. raise those kids and just be a mother. 17The whole cowboy boots with dress or mini-skirt was kitchy when she was a teen but she is no longer that cute little girl and she needs to up her style like Christina did when she got married. There is this tiny part of me (which gets tinier by the day) that wants to see Britney pull out of this but she seems to be on the fast track to "Where are they now?"

32Britney may very well get a new album out this year. If she does, it will undoubtedly undersell and be a dissapointment. She would be better off taking time to get herself fixed up, raise her kids and come back in a year or so after her divorce is final and we are ready for more Britney. 37gagirl, I know what you mean about her not caring what people think as much as the other celebs, I commend people that do not feel the need to conform to society's standards, although she is in the entertainment industry, so unfortunatly, you need to care about your image. She does not enough talent not to care. If she were an amzing singer or songwriter, then she would not have to make up for it in other areas, but Britney Spears really has a limited singing range, so her look is very important. That is what got her to the top in her teens.

39What she needed to do was dump K-Fed, get back into the studio fast, lay down tracks, and make sure she had lots of photo ops with her kids. She blew it big.
40she never was talented, she just looked hott...from the music business stand point she isnt a wise business venture at this point in time, she has already used most of the top producers in the world so she really has no where to go to invent a new sound which is what she needs...if you think about it every female pop "singer" sounds the same, nelly furtado's new sh*t can easily be confused with fergie's crap and gwen's crap can be confused with all the other crap so since all these girls have used the top producers in the game over the past year the chances of britney putting out a stand out ablum are slim to none...and the bottom line is that any real producer isnt going to want to work with her after she showed us all who she really is, it will make them look bad to be associated with her etc...i want to say that she is over and that she should go to college and get an education or something but then again in the society we live in you never know

Before she announced her divorce and the birth of her last child it was originally annouced her album was to be released early 2007 and if she is looking like crap, slipping on producing tracks and the record company has not even hired producers, they very well could be stalling the whole big Britney return. Because if K-Fed knows her album is dropping soon, he could stall the divorce proceedings waiting to see if she is going to make a profit. Just my opinion.

49Peronally, I am not one that wants to see anyone self destruct, hurt themselves or their families. I only hope she can get it together, and get her life on track . . . whether that includes new hits (or not). Don't want to kick someone when they are down. And, yes, I think she needs some severe therapy.
