Gwen took little Kingston along to the NRJ Music Awards. This kid has got so much exposure to the industry he'll probably be producing music before he's out of diapers. Looks like he's about to get some more experience too. Mommy Gwen is gearing up for her North American tour which kicks off in San Diego on April 22nd. 14The new album is horrible, I love Gwen but her music is so overrated and generic. She sounds like a regurgitation of everything that was wrong with the eighties. That video of her dressed and acting like a chola, hanging out in the hood is ridiculous and insulting, it's like "look at me, I'm down with the coloured people in the hood." It's awful, my friends and I were laughing at the new song and at the chola video. Gwen's a cool girl but she's a biter, she just bites off pieces of other people's work and calls it her own. The kid is cute though and her husband and her are cool people but I can't say I like her as a solo artist.

Now I dont know where she got the idea for her "chola video" but I remember reading an interview way before she went solo and she was talking about growing up in Anahiem. She said that she knew a lot of "cholas" and the way they dressed and did their makeup inspired her look (plus her ska background)
