Hey, Mischa Barton might not be the b*tch that recent stories would suggest. It was rumored that Mischa spoke openly about her OC character's demise being the reason for the show's tragic cancellation, but we were always dubious about its validity. Now it seems like we were right. TV Guide caught up with Mischa after the Golden Globes and she had this to say:
"It's definitely bittersweet," she told me. "It's too bad. I think it had its run, though. It was great while it lasted. But, of course, I was a little upset for [the cast]." When I asked her whether she felt Marissa's death contributed to the show's premature axing, as die-hard Marissa fans are naturally contending, she took the high road and said, "I have no comment on that. But I am really grateful to the fans. They've been very, very loyal, and that's always been really important to me."
It's certainly nice to hear that Mischa is not as heinous as some people try to make her seem. Other than her questionable choice in boyfriends, she's always struck us as a fairly respectable starlet. M-Bart turns 21 this week, so expect a boozy homegirl out on the town in LA. We can't wait.

7She looks a lot older than 21! I started watching the OC on DVD with my daughter, and I can't imagine the show without the Marissa character. She's a huge part of most of the storyline.

9Love her. She seems to be in on the Hollywood secret that you don't have to flash your yaya in order to be a starlet. She is classy compared to most others in the land of make believe (the choice of boyfriend nonwithstanding, but hey at least he doesn't look like a plastic doll). It is too bad The O.C. couldn't get it's act together, and the show is just not the same without the Marissa character. Most people my age watched for the fashion and Coop was the best in that department. I hope her projects work out for her.

14I can't really think of any press where there's been any negative things said coming from her. She seems to lie low in the partying scene compared the other celebs and wannabe celebs. She dresses how she feels and does ever get too trendy.

She's famous cos when the OC started it was awesome, and there was hype, and suddenly all the nobody actors in it became household names (who the hell was Rachel Bilson before the OC? Or Adam Brody?) So what if she's a wooden actress, she still pulled the show together.
I'm not a major fan of hers, but I think she's way better than a lot of Hollywood "starlets". She just seems like a normal girl, she has her own personality, her own style, she parties and has fun, and she actually seems to be part of a normal relationship, one that's lasted more than half an hour!
36I knew of both Adam Brody and Peter Gallagher before the OC, which imo, was never that good.
