Angelina seems to be unable to win these days. She supported her man at the Globes, headed to Vietnam for more charity work and then returned to the states to her new home. She was seen here picking up Maddox at his new school in New Orleans. However, no matter how normal Angelina tries to be, or how helpful she hopes she is to other countries, she will face bitter backlash for one reason or another. Ryan Seacrest got vocal about feeling snubbed at the Globes, and now the NY Times is taking a stab at what may be Angelina falling from grace. One thing is for sure, Angelina will always be in the headlines, whether it's for wearing blood around her neck or helping countries in need, so the real question is can't we all just get along?

I don't see what the big deal is-- I really thing she is just misunderstood. I may not respect everything she does but she does fabulous things for those less fortunate and she's a good mom, which scores her a lot of points in my book.
1Why are her legs SO skinny
2nice pix of her and maddox! I like the grey and black and as someone without skinny legs, i am envious!
3That NY Times article is really catty and full of unsubstantiated claims. Reckless reporting, not credible journalism.
Ryan Seacrest asks the stupid questions. Why don't they write about what an idiot he is and who let him on the red carpet.
4Ryan Seacrest is a whiney little girl. He really needs to grow a pair. I thought she was really polite to his stupid stupid questions. It wasnt her night it was his. With so much sh*t going on in the world doesnt the NY Times have better things to write about?? She will never please everybody so why are people finding nothing better to do with their lives and jobs but complain about her
I personally think she is a good person between her acting and work. Just look at Maddox that kid has experienced more things in this world than the majority of us have
5I'm prediciting this post is going to have AT LEAST 100 comments on it by the end of the day!!!
6hahahahaha brokenhalo you know its going to be the typical arguement with the AJ supporters and the AJ haters calling her a homewrecking slut
What people really need to focus on is how supposed serious journalists (not Seacrest) put all their effort into praising then bashing a woman when there are SOOOOOO MANY other important things to write about like oh I dont know Iraq.
but seriously Seacrest grow a pair. Just because some celeb didnt kiss your ass doesnt mean you should piss and moan about it
7is it only my imagination, or her legs are stick-like, too thin?
8She looks very happy.
9Who cares if she doesn't want to answer questions? I want to see more shiloh pictures awww....
10Maddox is so cute.
11I think everyone should just back off... really she needs some space to breath...
Gosh imagine been a mom, acting, and then been in the lime light.. eh no thanks.

12She is to tin! She looks like a lollipop. (Tin body and a big head) She is a beautifully "girl" if she get some flesh on here body.
13She looks very happy here.
Almost normal, Now if we could get her to eat something...
**~~Everyone who's anyone has been on sesame street.~~**
14OMG katy, I never knew she was made out of tin! Maybe THAT'S why people say she's cold!
15Ouch! The NY Times article is not forgiving AT ALL!
16I respect her because she is a great actress, she can do whatever she wants without being afraid of critisism, she has a lovely family, she is rich and ofcourse married with Brad!!Everybody wants a piece of her and they always try to make a fuss about something!BACK OFF I pity you!!
fashionista loves Vale...
17How can people bash on someone that is helping people less fortunate and manages to take motherly care of her kids and still has an acting career?
18It seems people care only about bringing people down when they are doing good and give the ones that don't do sh*t and are giving our nation a bad name all the praise(LL,Brit).
I just will never understand.
omg, who called the thought police on that one? i mean that is one of the worst cases of someone actually trying to be a journalist, writing a seemingly serious article! it just plays out like the journalist has some sort of personal issue, and whoever said it was catty, got it right! whether people think she may be falling from grace or not, she's still doing a whole lot of good in the world, compared to what the journalist prob does!
19... oh and btw, that's some really credible work she's done there, quoting tabloids and basically just hearsay about her behaviour! nice work.
... i just think with the Paris, Jessica S and the LL's of the movie world, i really think to single out angelina as the BIG BAD celeb is just funny, i mean at least she brings a little credibilty to hollywood unlike those socialite/actress/singer/model/perfumer(i know
i just can't remember the real word for it!) .
20A backlash is always inevitable whenever a celebrity reaches a high level of worship. Since getting together with Brad, they have become THE Hollywood couple. A celebrity can never maintain that level of popularity, and so a backlash begins.
21I liked Angelina better when she was wild.
Caryn James is guilty of the very thing she comments about in her article: The backlash isn’t entirely her fault. The press helped it along by playing fast and loose with her quotations, gleefully picking up the Shiloh-is-a-blob comment without context.
She seems to have gleefully picked up the unsubtantiated rumors and comments and opened her article with them. Since most people read the beginning of an article and scan the rest (and we learn that in journalism 101), she skewed the entire article against her subject and stuck the "defense" where it more than likely would be scanned by the reader and not remembered. Classic journalism trick - save yourself from being accused of writing something inflammatory and one sided by burying the other side where it probably won't get full comprehension.
True or not, whatever. Angelina Jolie is a person and she's entitled to her ups, downs, foils, and fables. The only thing I agree with is that the painting of her as the Virgin Mary WAS too banal to even be half-good satire. And part of me thinks Angelina would probably agree.
22I don't see the big deal, since every celebrity goes through the same thing. The comments on Pop are prime example. Some love, some hate, some don't care. Angelina is no different in that respect than any other celebrity.
The fact that she's also a "humanitarian" doesn't exempt her.

yeah, i couldn't believe it when i read the article the other day. my mom and i were talking about how stupid it was. they might have just as well written an article entitled "cam and j.t. -- the real story!" i don't mind this stuff when it's in tabloids, but the paper of record? give me a break.
24poor angie, i have a love hate thing with her but i dont think people should bash her
25I am shock to to see that the NY post is writing about stupid things like that!!!!I mean isn't it supposed to be a "serious" paper? This ain't a gossip mag! What about global warming?War in Darfur,or in Irak? Why do they give a damn about Angelina Jolie and her stupid red carpet interview?
26*Shocked*
27She will not care. She will still continue to what she feels is right. Screw Ryan Gaycrest. The day he makes a difference in any child's life I will listen to him. He is a wanna be Dick Clark.. MINUS TALENT, CLASS and EVERYTHING!! Sorry Angie is above answering what they ate for breakfast.. WTF kind of question is that at an awards ceremony? She knew that mental midget was trying to open the door to her personal life!!
28How about we are sick to death of her; this Saint Angelina bit is just that--another role for her and her limited acting skills. There, you have it: she has simply played this part long enough or for too long and, mark my words, will come up with something soon and very scandalous to keep her publicity-hating (too right) self in the headlines.
29Oh my lord. Whereas Nicole Ritchie is a twig with the bark peeled off, Angelina is just a twig. Is it any better? I don't know. I just hope she had more than a cracker and some steam for breakfast. Isn't Maddox just a little darlin!
30who else thinks the article was written by a J. Aniston Fan?
31Yeah..she broke up a marriage...so did Brad..and even worse its him who said the vows...everyone has their issue..some may not b obvious for the whole world to see...i read abt the backlash on a couple of other sites...doesnt make sense..its seems like they jus want somethin mean to write..am sure even hardcore J. aNISTON FANS WERE not Convinced
32He is!!!!
33She's probably sick of being stalked. And she just had a baby not too long ago ... she's probably a raging hormone. She's never made a secret of hating Hollywood events. She's a very private person. I wouldn't want to talk to Ryan Gaycrest either.
34I mean Maddox is a CUTIE for sure!!! Lol.
35Plus sometimes these entertainment presenters *note i didnt say JOURNALISTS* can ask the dumbest questions...u r like who cares or who wants to know..i love Oprah..but even she is guilty of it sometimes...
36What did Ryan ask precisely?I haven't seen the video. Was she really that rude??Cause usually she isn't even if i know she's not fan of the red carpet interviews...
37Maddox is going to be a lady killer
38You know what Ryan... f*ck you little whiney girl! You asked the most stupid and irrelevant questions ever. I care a damn f*ck (and probably most of the audience too) about what the Pitt-Jolie family had for breakfast. Actually Angelina was pretty decent not to answer you back ('cause I would answer you that) WHAT THE f*ck DO YOU CARE????
39Angelina is a strong woman...she isn't going to pay any attention to the negavity, she never has and never will.
I love this chick...she is fab, plus she doesn't give a _______ she knows that she is a good person. Angie is the main reason celebs started caring about more than their looks, awards, or designer clothes.
She made Hollywood more aware of the hardships and struggles in the world...also she started the adoption craze before certain celebs turned it into a gimmick or publicity stunt!
Love ya Angie, forget the haters!
40Ghana Princess I think an Aniston fan wrote that... but man! that happened sooooooooooooo long time ago and people still talking about it. f*ck! Get over it
41Sorry girls I'm loosing my grip here with this little c*nt named Ryan
42I'm really not a fan of hers. I think that her attitude is bad. I'm not denying that all her humanitarian work is great, but she's just rude.
**“In my mind, I’ve always been an A-list Hollywood superstar. Y’all just didn’t know yet.” -Will Smith **
43yeah...u can loose it all u want...u r justified..jus cos he hosts American Idol...pulezzzz..thats must b like curing Aids or somethin...american idol made him...plus simon's gay insults
44MBM
I'm glad not everyone is all over Angie. I'm not a fan. I just wish the backlash wasn't started by Ryan Seacrest. Come on.
45* lilxmiss * i think we jus honored beyonce in some weird way...am changn my pic pronto
46Seriously isn't everybody bored now? Humanitarian work - good, snobby behaviour and homewrecking - bad, but all in the name of frenzied publicity. She is gorgeous no doubt but when was the last time she did anything to do with the reason she is famous - acting? Can we please be OVER her?
47i currently go to school in New Orleans and, you know what, no matter what your stance is about her she and Brad are helping the city and that makes her honorable in my book. That's more than we can say about our current administration that's left us with nothing but FEMA trailers ... I mean, they're barely helping New Orleans & we didn't get the worst part of the hurricane... ie: there's tons of cities in Mississippi & Alabama that are completely gone and that noone is even responding to... At least Angelina and Brad are taking active steps to acknowledge it
48silvergirl, she was good in the "good shepherd" esp. considering her role was pretty flat
49I think she's great and I have no intention of getting "over" her. I think she's a wonderful mother, humanitarian, and actress. She is a really excellent role model to everyone who looks up to actors as icons.
