Brad and Angelina have settled, for the moment at least, in New Orleans as planned. The couple enrolled Maddox in a local school, so perhaps they'll let him at least finish out the year before their next big trip. Don't they just look so normal dropping Mad off at school? Almost. Brad recently opened up to Newsweek about the effects of family on his acting career. Here's more:
When I started I had this idea that the films I did defined me, and that my life would be interesting based on the characters I'd chosen. I don't feel that way anymore. I'm a father now. There are other things that are important to me. I was chasing something that wasn't fulfilling. I caught myself on the phone the other day—Leo has been playing some real strong men these last few years—and I found myself saying, "I want to play more of a man." I got off the phone and I thought, "No. Live like a man, and the movies will follow."
I think what he meant to say is "Live like Angelina's man, and the paparazzi will follow." That just makes so much more sense.

8They got attention because it's Brad Pitt, not because it's Angelina to begin with. Now it's because they are a couple. Angelina was always famous, but she even said herself she had lots of freedom she doesn't have now. Go ask Gwenyth and Jennifer if being with Brad did anything to make them more famous. Anyone he dates because super famous and stalked.
9I don't know many parents who drop off their kids in sunglasses with no sun....but apart from that I suppose they look kind of normal and it is good to see Ange smiling.

11Well let me contribute and say that I'm fed up reading about these guys. I like celebrity gossip but please... What are they: saints because they love kids and have a couple of them? They're not the first parents in Hollywood, nor anywhere else for that matter, and I don't see those parents' pictures anywhere. What's the big f**king deal? Show us something else. They get way too much attention.

I do like brad's quote but I have to agree. They aren't the first parents in hollywood...I just heard an interview with Maggie Gyllenhaal (sp?) on NPR. What she had to say about motherhood and being a "famous" parent is far more profound and thought-provoking than anything Brad or Angie has said. But Maggie won't get quoted or talked about because she's in indy flicks and doesn't do interviews twice a week for pr.
I do hope they stick around NO for a while. Those kids deserve some stability!

48IMO, "normal" is totally over-rated. It's a euphemism for "boring, predicatable, can't-think-outside-the-box, live-my-life-as-others-expect."
