Jennifer Lopez is not a Scientologist, okay? But that doesn't mean she doesn't love herself some of those zany characters. Not only is she BFF with the Cruise/Holmes duo, but she recently revealed that there's another Scientologist in her life. And no, I'm not talking about a secret relationship with Danny Masterson. Miami's NBC6 reports:
When asked about what she thought about the negative perception some people have about Scientology, Lopez replied, "I, myself, am Catholic. But it's just sad that people would look at it (Scientology) in that way."
J.Lo also has a personal connection to the Church of Scientology.
"My dad has been a Scientologist for 20 years," she said. "It's weird people want to paint it in a negative way."
Twenty years a Scientologist? That's like Tom Cruise Scientology status. J-Lo's dad must be Scientology visionary, nay, revolutionary of Cruise-like proportions. Only not as aggressive. And hopefully he keeps his shoes off the couch.

There is no way in heck that if it was a Catholic household that Scientology would have been tolerated. Catholicism is a pretty much all or nothing kinda deal. Especially if her mother was oldschool straight from PR kinda person.
I think that this is just damage control on her behalf so if she does convert she can use the "I was always brought up in it" card so the media won't be on her case as much as other celebrities who have joined the COS. Remember when she was accused of being in Santeria, she covered that up quick by saying that it was her make up person or hairstylist, something or another? Same thing here.
Oh, J-Lost... please find yourself, there are far more important celebrities to hold our interest without you having to interrupt with your identity issues.

15Here's one for funny. According to IMDB, here's how these four stack up : JLo is 5'6", Marc 5'6 1/2 ", Tom 5'7" and Katie 5'9". So why does Katie and Tom appear the same height and Tom and Marc look a good 3 inches different? Totally believing those stories about lifts in his shoes now.
