While it's pretty cute that Jessica is suffering through life on the road staying in luxury hotels across Florida every night to follow her man, John Mayer, on tour, the most recent report of her time as a groupie left me a little bit disturbed. Here's more:
"She was rocking out the whole time," says one concertgoer. "She only seemed to know the words to his older songs though, because she sang along to 'Your Body is a Wonderland' and his older hits."
With a camera in hand, Simpson – who took in the show from the sound and lighting area alongside stylist Ken Paves, Billy Joel and his wife, Katie Lee Joel – snapped photos of herself and Paves, Mayer and the crowd.
"She was dancing like she was a real fan, and a lot of the crowd had their eyes on her the whole time," says the observer.
Cough. She was "rocking out the whole time?" Uh, has she actually heard John Mayer's music? Your Body is a Wonderland isn't exactly flash your boobs/wave a lighter in the air/crowd surfing kind of stuff. Eh, to be fair, for Jess with John any kind of music may be boob-flash worthy.

5She seems like a total groupie. She even changed her style of clothing. I'm so used to seeing her glammed up and in the latest fashion. Now since she's been seen with John Mayer she seems to be dressing really sloppy - jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. Kind of like him.

16I do not get these two together either. Im not familiar with him at all as he isnt known in the UK, but they definitely do not look together. 24Well to be quite honest, i went to John Mayer's show on this tour, and I had no idea that the man could rock a guitar like he does...he played bluesy, rock stuff you don't here on the radio so I can def see how she would be able to rock out...maybe not to the older radio songs but any of the songs from John Mayor Trio and many off his new album that will never make the radio...he can play the guitar so well it gets me hot...
25umm.. john mayers music now is very different from his music from what 6 years ago. It is now very blues/rock based. She was also the jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, so I dont think she has changed her style a lot since being with him.

I think people expect John Mayer to like plain looking girls who they will swear to God is sooo gorgeous, when really she looks like Jennifer Garner (no offense).
He likes them like Jennifer Love Hewitt, Heidi Klum (he went on a date with her too) and low and behold Jessica Simpson.
Will they last, who cares, do they have too?

45cravinsugar- you are sooo right! Unfortunately I think most people are confused by what John Mayer plays...If you see him live (which I have many, many times) a person could easily compare him to Stevie Ray Vaughn or dare I say, Jimmy Hendrix. He is amazing! And the HOTTEST blues guitarist EVER.

47John Mayer is awesome in concert. One of the best shows I have ever seen. He was opening for Sheryl Crow...and we actually went to see her. He was absolutely amazing...Sheryl however was absolutely horrible.

Ok, maybe most people don't like them together, me included but there must be more to her, him and this relationship than what we see on the surface, otherwise he (or she) would have probably moved on already. And honestly, I don't buy her dumb act. I think it is somewhat of a publicity stunt gone bad. I think she is alot smarter than what most give her credit for.
