This one time, in 4th grade..

This one time, in 4th grade.. I had invited the most popular girl in my class to a sleepover at my house. I wasn't the picture of popularity myself (with glasses and my suede rodeo jacket) but that is beside the point.

I was so excited that she had said yes. She came over and we had so much fun. My mom got out the video camera and we did our best Steve Urkel impressions.. we were dancing to my New Kids on the Block tape. It was a blast and I was so excited to have a new friend. Towards the end of the night we decided to go downstairs and play a game of Twister. I loved this game.

Somewhere in between a right hand on green and a left foot on yellow, we got tangled. This led to a infectious giggle. I couldn't stop laughing.. I laughed so hard that pee started running down my leg and all over the Twister. Needless to say, I won the game because that girl went running so fast.

I was mortified!! Apparently, she was disgusted.. while I went to my bedroom to change, she called her mother to come pick her up. She kept saying she just felt homesick and that it wasn't me.

She definitely never came over again.. and I definitely never became part of the popular group. Haha.. I actually saw this girl out at a house party this past Summer (we're 24 now.. ) and she still remembers.. Son of a b*tch! We were just catching up a little and not 5 minutes into the conversation was she like, Oh my God.. remember that time I went to your house..

Is it possible to still be mortified about something 15 years later? Haha.
