This is a very selfless act for her to do. And the fact that she only has to sit with this guy for lunch, 2 hours tops, makes it even easier for her, wonder why more celebs don't do things like this. It's not like they have to even talk to the person again, 2 hours is nothing!!

I always liked her. She's naturally pretty and seems "real", not like a plastic collagen Barbie or a bandwagon anorexic like so many of the other actresses. I agree, that was a nice thing to do, and as much as I like to snark on celebs I do like to hear that they are using their fame to help other people rather than just to get lots of free swag.

Celebrities take a hit when they publicize their charity work/dollars, but if they aren't publicizing it, then they're considered selfish because no one knows they're doing it.

I know that a lot of celebrities give all kinds of help to charities and very little is said about it. You'd be surprised by some of the celebs and what they've done.

i thought she would have raised more, but 30,000 is still a pretty good amount.
i think she looks really pretty here, but i'm not really liking the dress on her. i think she's too buff to wear frilly things, it just makes her appear even bigger.

They are overpaid anyways how else would they spend all that unnecessary amounts of money..A good hearted person is one who gives when he doesn't have that much. It's not like celebrities like Biel will go hungry if they help one girl pay her medical bills. She probably could have sold one of her gowns and bought a house for a homeless person. Ridiculous how some people think of celebs as generous or nice.

Well she could have donated some money as well asdoing the auction. Maybe she said she'd double whatever money her date auction raised. We don't know.
