Beyonce got glammed up for the Amfar Gala in NYC last night, but we're not loving the hair. It's not as bad as Denise's birdsnest, but it's still a bit harsh for B. The event was to honor John Demsey, Whoopi Goldberg and Bill Roedy, but Beyonce was celebrating as well. She was just named most desirable woman from a survey based on over 8 million votes. The contest asks readers to vote based on beauty, intelligence, humor, charisma and ambition. Congrats to Beyonce!

More from inside the event to come later. For now, more of a Beyonce walking the red carpet so read more

I can see that- B's GORGEOUS.
1def not
"It`s weird to get dressed when you know you`re going to get everything off." Bridget Marquardt from The Girls Next Door
2Heh, I kind of like the hair. It's like 90's prom hair. I also love the skirt of her dress, but I'm not so much feeling the top half of it. As for those earrings, could they pull her earlobes down any farther? Maybe she should add a couple more pounds of rhinestones.
3That dress it way too long for her. It makes it look like she's standing a hole.
4Oh please, Ms. Armpit as most desirable?

Cheese It!!
She is ghetto garbage - wanna be white girl with her trashy weave and little pebble teeth. I also kind of think she looks like a tranny most days. I'm betting her mom and dad and the rest of her garbage family cast like a million votes each for her -- that's the only way I can see this tranny trash winning.
6most desireable????? oh please, give me a break. is this a joke or something?
7well at least we don't have to see her pits- she's wised up. Her face is lovely but the hair and dress need work.
8i kind of like this look. I like her with darker hair. As for most desireable, her people must have voted for her. I would have believe this back in crazy in love day but, scarlette is WAY more deiserable (is that a word?) than she is.
9Good for you, Girl!!!
10I think she's pretty, though Im not particularly crazy about her. I thought she looked amazing in Dreamgirls though.
11I'll give her that because she appeared really sexy on "Naughty Girl"
12hmm, It's interesting to see the votes on the site that disagree with her no1 spot, it's around 87%.
13I don't like the hair. It looks like a J-Lo do.
14Beauty- Yes, Ambition- Definitely, Intelligence- Maybe Charisma and HUMOR- NO! Def. Not
And for her appearance here...I'm just glad to see that shes done something different with her hair.
15Was shiny glistening skin one of the catagories? Yikes!!

Pastrami sandwich with extra spicy mustard, chili cheese fries with onions & pickles and a giant Root Beer! AHHH, sweet, fattening, imminent death, clogged artery, comfort food!!!
i think shes hot
17Who came in second?
18i demand a recount!
19is that a joke? she is pretty but every other aspect of her sucks...and i have to agree that she does want to be white but she acts black when she needs to enchance her creditability... shes whack just like her clothing line and her music...

21Beautiful! I like it. I like her. Nothing she does qualifies as "wanting to be white". She sings R&B, nothing about her attire, nothing about her speech, don't see where your comment is stemming from...must just be racism. Carry on...
22~Let's Go~
She's not dating a white man....I could go on....
23~Let's Go~
eh, i could think of others. thanks for keeping your hands below your ears.
24"wanting to be white" im not even sure who thats supposed to offend, anyhoo-i like the hair its alot better then that humongous eighties hair she has wearing lately, love the dress but its way too long on her.
25flutter-the one, the only, accept no substitutions
Hahaha. Oh my, what is the world coming too. I'm glad the most desirable woman has curves and isn't a stick figure but Beyonce? She has catchy songs but I would not consider her most desirable. I am a woman, so maybe that's why. They asked men...but I don't know alot of men that find her desirable either...
26I don't really like Beyonce and I really see how she's MOST desirable, but I must admit she's looking pretty good there. It's one of the rare times I can say she looks good! ..Minus the hair, but props for arms down and no cheesy poses.
27She's annoying. I just don't see her as desirable at all. There are a bunch of women that are way more desirable then she is. Who, exactly, voted for her?
28being called out as "wanting to be" any race other than what you were born is presuming that race they "want to be" is better than the race the person is. ~Let's Go~
29most desirable.
pfffft!!
30eew... who voted?
31Oh, puh-LEEZE.
32Well, at least she got an award for SOMETHING finally. *LOL*
racist? Please!!! -- the girl always acts like she wants to be white. most the time her hair is blonde and it's usually long, straight and smooth. Nothing about her attire??? Do you even read these blog sites. That gold dress she wore to the golden globes was straight out of early 80's Dynasty - think Linda Carter and Joan Collins -- no black people there. This is not a new comment about Beyonce - it's a widely held opinion that she has "insecurities." The best part of the test is the "intelligence" factor - I am still laughing. Pure comedy!!
33Uh-oh.
34Here we go again with the "wanna be white/black" thing. *rolling my eyes*
The poll was on the askmen website..which is along the lines of Maxim and FM magazine.. and if you look at the 99 women it is a relly bizarre random group of women.. for example men thought that Fergie (#43 or something) was much sexier than Jennifer Aniston (#76).
Top 10 were:
Beyonce
35Scarlett Johanson
Jessica Alba
Adriana Lima
Jessica Beil
Alessandra Ambrosio
Shakira
Maria Menuous
Angelina Jolie
Elisha Cuthburt
I think Scarlett and Jessica A are more "desirable" per se than Beyonce...
36
Are you kidding me!!!
37Ima*~ that is perfect proof that men are idiots. Okay....except for Brian and Arthur and the other few dudes on here..........the rest of em* 'dur'
Whites do not have the monopoly on hair color, type nor style. You must not have seen Dominique Deveraux on Dynasty. Like it or not, some~8 million~bodies voted; Perhaps the results are in error & for whatever reason Popsugar decided to post it. You don't have to agree with them / I don't have to agree with you, life goes on...
38~Let's Go~
She's looking beautiful in the pictures, but the earrings don't look right. The straps of her gown looks like continuation of the earrings at first glance.. like her earrings are laying on her shoulders LOL
39Wow! Ignorance abounds. If one can say that she wants to be white because of her hair, then every black woman who straightens her hair has a problem. That would be MOST of them (including me). In fact, I guess everyone who does anything to her hair (to make it curl when it is straight or straight when it would otherwise curl) has a problem.
And the clothes comment? Well, that just doesn't even require comment. In the words of Mark Twain, "I have too much respect for the truth to drag it out on every trifling occasion."
40I don't get this whole 'she wants to be white' thing! Why would she wanna be white (i'm white so i am not being racist). I am sure she is very happy with what she is.
Yeah sometimes her hair is blonde and straight but she is entitled to change her hair like everybody else. Doesn't mean she is trying to be white!!!!!!!!!
41It's so sad to me that blacks STILL bring up this mess. I get called stuff like "Oreo" and honorary white girl all the time. Because of the way I talk and I HATE IT. It's really sad that this is still happening and whoever said that statement above is just ourely ignorant. I just left a "urban" gossip blog because they had these talks about Beyonce and lighter skinned blacks in general all the time. Saying she is not a "real black woman" and all that because of her skin and hair color, and all that foolishness. This is really sad.
42really? I just don't see it.

* yummers! *
43LaurenAshley, what I say to comments like that (you don't "talk" black) is that I AM black...see? It doesn't rub off! What the f*ck is talking black? I have spoken this way ALL of my life. And if this is the way I talk, then I talk black! Then, I cut those people out of my life because they tend to be both devisive and insular. (How's that for not talking black?) ;o)
Sami
44Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana are not first.... something went wrong here
45This website is really funny. I enjoy it. It has people from all walks of life and some of you really crack me up! Of course we won't all agree or see eye to eye on every subject.
46LorenAshley, I don't think a black girl brought up race this time....Race would not have come into the equation if "d.a.t." would not have said something. But to each his own, that's why I said "carry on", (business as usual) ~Let's Go~
Sami I do ask them that..What is "talking" black and white. I say to them..Are white people the only ones that talk and have good sense?? It's really sad.
Deba..Alessandra and Adriana are smoking hot I agree. Adriana looses sooo many points when she opens her mouth...THOSE TEETH!
47Oh God no. And those earrings just don't work to that dress.

\People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character/
I could think of others that are more desirable, but she look fantastic in this picture.
49This "wanting to be white sh*t" is getting on my last nerve. I've tried NOT to comment, but this sh*t is getting to be ridiculous!!!! What the F*ck!
...I don't know EXACTLY what it means. Racist or not it just sounds quite ignorant actually!
