J Lo and Marc helped kick-off the Super Bowl this weekend performing at the Ocean Drive/Market America Super Bowl Bash. As you can see, the couple put on quite a show. Along with the love from her husband, she will be getting a special recognition on Valentine's Day. She's going to receive the Artists for Amnesty award for her work in Bordertown. Here's more:
Jennifer Lopez will receive an award for her work as producer and star of a film examining the murders of hundreds of women in a Mexican border town, Amnesty International officials said Friday.
Lopez will receive the Artists for Amnesty award Feb. 14 at the Berlin Film Festival from Nobel Peace Prize winner Jose Ramos-Horta. The film "Bordertown" will make its debut Feb. 15 at the festival.
"Since first hearing of these atrocities in 1998, when Gregory Nava came to me with this project, I desperately wanted to tell this story," Lopez said. "I began working to ensure we made this film in order to bring the attention of the world to this tragedy and to pressure the Mexican government to bring to justice those responsible for these horrible crimes."

25It must be amazing to accept an award for making a film about people suffering, but did it do anything for the people that actually suffered? I know they say it will "bring attention" to the Mexican government, but did it really even accomplish anything? Does she REALLY deserve an award for "bringing attention" to something horrible that happened? If that's the case, I should get an award for talking about any political issues because haven't I "brought attention" to them? Plus, how can she be so compassionate about the suffering of humans, but not give a crap about the poor little animals that had to suffer for her to think she looks beautiful? I Hate her!!

28This board is becoming shallow and mean spirited. Jennifer looks lovely and happy. Marc may not be the most handsome man in the world but he seems to truly love his wife.
Lopez by working on this project will bring national and international attention to this tragedy. It's a shame that some feel that the fact that she wears fur somehow means she has no compassion. Wearing fur does not make her evil.
