Matt Perry and Aaron Sorkin laughed off drug jokes at the Television Critics Association conference where they were promoting Studio 60. Both are no strangers to drugs. Aaron was busted for cocaine in an airport and Matthew has been to rehab for a Vicodin addiction. The now sober duo are teaming up for NBC's highly anticipated new fall show also starring Amanda Peet and Bradley Whitford. Here's more from the panel as reported by People:
"I do think that television is a terribly influential part of this country," said Sorkin, writer and executive producer of NBC’s upcoming Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, when asked on Friday about the vacuousness of current reality-TV culture. "When things that are very mean-spirited and voyeuristic go on TV, I think it's (like) bad crack in the schoolyard."
As the audience of journalists erupted into laughter, Sorkin playfully asked, "Why did I use that word?"
Actor Bradley Whitford replied, "I have no clue."
At first, Sorkin simply added, "Everything is fine," but later joked, "I will go person to person giving each $100 if we can just get the crack quote out of the papers tomorrow.
"It's an expression that I meant nothing by. And with all the mental preparation I did for the panel that I was actually able to say that is beyond belief. It really is."
Later on, Studio 60 star Perry, never one to miss a clever quip, extended the joke with, "I think it's mostly like bad Vicodin in the schoolyard."

1I know I have said this before but I am going to say it again Matthew Perry only has ONE facial expression.
Even though there are 5 pictures of him the expression stays the same...some a different variation but essentially the same.
2I think he is hedious, I don't like his face and it does always look the same. Don't know it's just not symmetrical to me. Hate it.

6I love Amanda Peet! Other than that dumb movie with Ashton, she always picks the best roles.
7I like Matthew Perry. I like his sort of dry, sarcastic humor. I want to see this show when it comes out, it looks pretty good. Oh and Jennifer, I completely agree. She's always in pretty good roles, but that A Lot Like Love movie completely sucked.

21I smell another post-"Friends" flop. Matthew Perry is not a very good actor, he's an okay comedian, but he can't carry a show. I won't be watching this at all and I think it will probably be cancelled. Also Aaron and Matthew did have drug problems, so I'm not so sure they should work on a show together because in this pic, Matt still looks like he's using. Amanda Peet is very pretty, but it's not enough to make me want to see the show.
