So, here's the deal. Either Katherine is wearing a fur-lined jacket while helping out at this dog adoption drive, which is an interesting, if not a little ironic, choice. Or, Katherine is wearing a faux fur-lined jacket while helping out at this dog adoption drive and apparently didn't get the memo that much of the faux fur out there is actually made of dog, which is pretty freaking ironic*, if you ask me. Cute dogs, anyway.
* I think that counts. Damn you, irony, and your oft misunderstood but ultimately convoluted definition.

I just don't think fur is attractive, and the fact that it comes from living things makes it even less attractive to me.
5Fab - I just know they tested 25 "faux fur" coats and of that, 24 contained the dog fur. But the dog fur was of a species that was native to Northern Europe, not China.

7I haven't heard her say anything "stupid". I haven't watched any interviews with her either. Do you have a link to what she said? I heard that she stuck up for her gay co-worker, and I think that is admirable in general. I am interested in how she phrased it.

12It is a strange outfit choice for this event. My husband knows someone whose grandmother saved all of the dog hair that their dog ever shed and when the dog died, she knit a sweater for her granddaughter. Isn't that crazy?!?
13The fur looks a little to real for me as an animal lover. More people should be aware of dog fur used in the clothing industry.

16I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt on this one, since I think she is awesome & as an animal lover, is probably wearing faux- what I didn't know is that some faux fur is made out of dog?! WTF? That's the 1st time I've heard anything like that!
17Clearly someone said something negative about her criticizing IW (I'm guessing that comment was deleted?) but I think it was great of her to stick up for TR Knight as her friend & co-star, so often celebs just say 'No comment' when asked about a situation like this one, but I think it was important for her as his (IW's) co-star to come out & say that what he did was not okay, why should they protect him??

19i love her. i have a jacket that is made of acryllic instead of faux fur. the only way i will buy a jacket that "looks" like it has faux fur is if it says acryllic because i learned a while ago if it doesnt say acryllic chances are its dog hair.

20This faux fur = dog fur information has been out there for a few months now, unfortunately. I don't get why you'd want something that looks like a dead animal anyways, but if you hear that it actually could be a dead animal, why are you not responding?
I just wish people would get a little more outraged by the disgusting and upsetting truth of what they're really wearing.
