Forget NY Fashion Week. All the biggest names last night happened to be at a fashion event on the west coast. Donatella Versace came to Hollywood to pick up a Rodeo Drive Walk Of Style Award. All of her friends came out dressed up in their most fabulous Versace to honor the designer and her brother. It's hard to believe that it's been almost ten years since Donatella took over the line after the tragic death of her brother Gianni. Donatella was of course very moved by all those who showed up to honor the designer family. Here's more:

  • On the Award: "It's a great honour for me to receive this prize, especially because I'm getting it in Hollywood, which is my favourite place in the world," she said. "I miss Gianni very much. He deserves this award and I only wish he could have received it in person."
  • On taking over the fashion line: "I was very insecure because I knew that all eyes were on me, and the recurring question that echoed in my head was people asking, 'Will she make it?'," admitted the mum-of-two. But Wednesday's unveiling makes it clear that the glamorous blonde has more than proved her fashion credentials.

Thanks to Donatella, the Versace line is bigger and better than ever! Not that she needs the validation, but the array of glamorous Hollywood stars that came out to honor Donatella should more than prove her success.
