Kate has stayed with Pete through things that would have most girlfriends running for the door, so it's no surprise that his most recent relapse into drug use is no different. Even though the two looked happy while celebrating Kate's new portraits at the opening of the Face of Fashion this week, she's understandably still worried about his recovery. Her latest attempt to keep him clean is by running away to a remote hideaway in Scotland. She thinks that if she can get him away from his druggie friends he'll be able to kick his habit. A close friend says:
"Kate keeps getting frustrated with Pete, but she cannot leave him. She feels let down by his constant broken promises but is torn because she absolutely adores him.
“Kate has been through her own drug problems and knows the only way he will give up is if he breaks the cycle. If he is away from the guys who feed him drugs then he might have a chance at escaping the hold addiction has on him.
“They love escaping to her house in the Cotswolds but Kate wants to get somewhere even more remote than that. If it is her pad she can control who visits and who doesn’t. She says she doesn’t want anyone there except her and Pete."
While it still sounds like a better decision to stay in rehab close to doctors, it's admirable that Kate is willing to do just about anything to help Pete kick his habit once and for all. Besides, Pete just lost his driver's license for two months so maybe they'll stay hidden away in the country for a while. Who knows, maybe this will be the trick. 1I find the whole situation a bit sad.
2I don't believe anything anyone says about this couple because so many things have been proven false like she's pregnant and they married.
3She's got the right idea...if Pete is constantly surrounded by his druggie friends he'll never quit. He needs to cut ties with those people, or at least only hang out with them in controlled situations.

12So may I state the obvi and say that he won't ever change unless he really wants to. Taking him to the Scottish Country side won't change him Kate. Nothing will, he doesn't love you, he loves his drugs or at least the feeling he gets from them.
13Well, if the whole relationship problem stories are true, I sort of know what it's like. My boyfriend was pretty wild, and though he's calmed down a lot, I still know he does things behind my back. Still, I continue to stay with him because I love him. Of course, I'm just some random girl, not Kate Moss. That makes a big difference right there.

16its hard being in love with a drug addict. you feel that by leaving them, you are abandoning them. i wouldnt be surprised if he makes her feel guilty by saying things like if you leave i will commit suicide. its a tough cycle to break and i definently feel sorry for her. anyhoo, i am so sick to death of hearing about this couple

19I highly doubt that pulling him away from his druggie friends will change anything since we just saw that video of him shooting up in Thailand with some random girls. Doesn't that sort of prove that he's out for drugs wherever and whenever, regardless of who's around him?

Btw, I'm sure she takes as much drugs as Pete, if not more. It's just that when she walks around sloshed it gets mistaken for 'glamourous aloofness'. He probably won't recover while he's around HER, as much as anyone.
