I dont care what people say, it is perfectly believable she got overheated and dehydrated in that hot weather for that amount of time. I hope she recovers well:)

how about not staying in the sun all day and getting wasted. that might help. gosh what i wouldn't do to be in her shoes. =) tanning and drinking from sunrise to sunset.

i knew this day couldn't pass without *some* news of ll...haha. i just can't stand the girl, for some reason. she and nicole are going to start running into each other at the hospital. it'll be the new social scene of hollywood.

well drinking causes you to dehydrate too (the definition of a hangover). so if she's out drinking all night and doesn't rehydrate the next day before trying to "work" in the 105 degree weather, yeah, she's probably going to be overheated and suffer from some intense dehydration.

but it's all avoidable if she'd put down the cosmo or martini or whatever drink goes with blow and chug a couple of gatorades and/or water.

I think she should star acting like a normal person not like this crazy teenager that wants to get kill, because of her life style, so strange so many nights at the clubs,at the beach, not eating how this can't be the reason?, Why just a normal day on the set is worst that all this?

Hmmmm...I think I've found myself a new "sure-to-make-millions" career. Hydration Expert to the stars! With as much as I know about about efficient hydration techniques during endurance sports (partying counts as an endurance sport, right?) I would be indespensible. Imagine me trailing all the skelestarletts with Nalgene bottles and Camelbaks strapped to me like so much S&M gear shouting out "HYDRATION BREAK, GIRLS!.....LYNDS, DROP THAT APPLETINI AND DOWN THIS PROPEL RIGHT NOW....MARY KATE & ASHLEY POWER THOSE ELECTROLYTES, GIRLS!" What'ya think? Is it a winner?

& you know...I don't want to judge someone for keeling over because of dehydration because it's a real health concern/issue. People don't realize how easy it is to get dehydrated and how many problems it can ultimately cause. People so often make the mistake of downing caffeinated beverages to try to hydrate themselves and they don't do anything but make the problem worse.

Skinny/malnourished girl + triple-digit heat + long work hours/standing around in the sun + alcohol & caffeine (red bull, coffee, soda...) = sicky sicky

There doesn't have to even be drugs involved.

No way in hell, man. The only two logical reasons are drugs or surgery. She's pulled this sh*t before. Remember the last time she was taken to the hospital? She came out with dramatically smaller boobs (having had implants at 18, then removing them). The old dehydration/exhaustion story is the oldest excuse in the book. And of course her rep will deny everything, as they all do. Not for one bloody second is a rep going to spill the beans about such a thing. They don't have to tell the world one damn thing. And besides, if one was actually honest enough to do so, (thus letting the cat out of the bag for every tabloid in existence) he/she would be fired faster than Lindsay could take a drag off someone's spliff. You don't exactly want to be the one to create a scandal about the millionaire celebrity you work for.

Hey- I feel her pain. I get dehydrated all the time. It sucks. I fainted on the beach last summer. I'm going to regale all of you with a story, in fact.

I was laying down in the sun for a really long time and when I got up to leave, I felt so dizzy. So I sat back down. My mom and my brother were like, "Get up. We're leaving." And I was like, "No, no. I don't want to." They thought I was being dramatic, so they kept urging. So, once I do get up, I started staggering because, I mean, hello, I was about to faint. And my brother was over near those showers to clean yourself off and I went over thinking that would be nice. So instead of cleaning off my legs and feet like normal people do, I just walked right under the shower thing and soaked myself (clothing and all). That's when I fainted and my brother-thankfully- caught me as I was going down. But then when he went to adjust the way he was holding me, my head hit the wood underneath me.

The ambulance had to come and I felt like such an idiot for causing a scene. They wouldn't let me get out of the back of the ambulance until my face got back its color and my blood sugar and stuff was okay.

Pretty much just feelin Lohan's pain. Plus, hangovers are just one huge dehydration (of the brain, in fact), so it can't be fun to actually be taken to the hospital.

babybeluga, that sucks. you should start a "how i fainted" post. i've fainted. i'm sure many people here have. it makes the nicole and lilo fainting thing seem fairly normal which it probably is. sure, other substances or lack of food may be associated, but substance abuse and eating disorders are real outside of hollywood.

the last time i fainted was after downing a bunch of sugar free red bull prior to exams and work project being due, getting a lot of energy, getting things done, walking to boss' office and legs giving out. i woke up in ER and i'm still sorting out all the insurance crap.
