I love Jim Carrey, I really do. I love the light Jim Carrey (even though I know he's dark on the inside) and I love the dark Jim Carrey (even though I know he loves potty humor) and I think I maybe love new, adult, hinting at stable Jim Carrey best of all. In preparation for his upcoming movie, The Number 23, Jim has been on quite the press junket and I've been loving every well-coifed minute of it. His most recent interview is no exception. Here are some highlights:

- On Fame: "Everyone gets to be the big joke for a year. That's this business," he says. "Last year it was Tom Cruise. I could be the next Kathie Lee Gifford. But you have to say to yourself, 'Wait a minute, dude, that's not you.'"
- On his plans to write a children's book and a self help book: "It will be more representative of who I am than anything I've ever done," he says. "I feel like I know something. These thoughts make me feel like I'm wearing gold shoes."..."It's called Cynthia's New Friend. It's about how we hate change. We hate people to change because we're afraid they'll fly away."
- On why his upcoming project with Cameron Diaz failed: "I just can't put software out. I can't. I'll have a physical reaction," says Carrey. "I'll be three weeks away from a project, and the universe will take it away from me. That's what happened with Used Guys. My soul didn't want to be there."
I love that Jim seems to understand the fickle nature of the public (and how that affected his friend Tom) while still maintaining his quirkiness (as if he has a choice). What can I say, I'm a sucker for the Carrey. Samsonite? I was way off.

cut that f*cking hair
1He is right though.. Tom Cruise is the biggest joke of 2006!
2I'm glad that somebody likes him because if everyone felt about him like I do, he would be flat broke! He drives me up a wall!
3I LOVE Jim Carry. I think he is one of the funniest actors ever. I'm acctually interested in this new movie, but it'll prolly end up on my nexflix list
4JK couldnt say it better myself... hes cool... i loev him with jenny mccarthy, but honestly, the hair looks stringy and worn out.
5I like him now that his Ventura days are over, even though I watched those movies too. He seems more.. down to earth? In a really weird kind of way.
6I don't agree with all those who think his hair should be cut. He is looking cool and sexy, not funny
7i dont like his long hair
8I LOVE Jim Carrey.... and Pop we must be peas in a pod because evertime I walk by the Samsonite store, I can't help but to yell out "Samsonite... I was way off!!" LMAO...
It kinda looks like he's impersonating Michael Jackson in these photos... weird.

\m/(-_O) RAWWWWWWWWWWWK!!
I'm not really interested in him anymore.
And his face in that first shot is scaring me.
10I like the long hair too. & I have the first ace ventura memorized. the whole thing. calculus? hell no, I'd rather fill my brain w/ dumb comedy!!
11Its good to see a Hollywood type who seems to have accepted their Authentic Self. The notion of authenticity is intricate and meaningful and not easily attained, especially in a culture inundated with judgment, praise, demeaning, and lavishness. Martin Heidegger would say that authenticity includes accepting your place within the Time in which you are alive. By Time, he does not just mean clock time, but the events, situations, and context that make up the Time in which you live. Once you can accept and understand the Time in which you live, it opens up the possibility for finding your Authentic Self - the profession or practice that most expresses your true gift to our society and world. It seems in this case that Mr. Carrey has accepted his place within society and the culture he is a part of - he has grasped his authenticity and expressed it the best way he knows how. I say, Good Work Sir!!
12I just watched Dumb and Dumber the other day... "I always thought that the Rocky Mountains were a little bit rockier than this... yeah, that John Denver's full of sh*t." Haha. I love Jim Carrey.
13I like this look on him.. He looks genuinely happy these days!

17i think hes OK, but sometimes his jokes are just...SO overused?? i dnno lol
18Ugh, that's the UGLIEST I've ever seen him!!!
19I love him haha!! just the name makes me laugh! he does need to lose some of that hair though. and tom cruise really is a joke!
20I like him. He's very talented. But he's a strange bird, that's for sure.
21Am I the only person who thinks he was totally tripping on acid when he made these remarks?! He's f-ing loony.
22My wife feels quite homicidal toward Jim, one of those irrational things. I don't mind him, but I can see how too much could become irritating!

He's awesome, the hair and outfit are great.
24I'm pretty sure he's going to go the way of Val Kilmer, with his eccentricities getting in the way of an incredibly successful career. People won't want to work with him if he keeps pulling out of things and making so many weird demands that the film can't happen.
25love him:P
