Oh, Britney. After having quite the Friday night you might think that Britney Spears would lay low for a little while, but then again, this is Britney we're talking about -- there is no such thing as laying low for her. This weekend the singer was seen in this short blonde wig both chain smoking while lounging at a hotel pool (in that infamous bikini, no less) and out at a Hollywood club (though only for less than an hour, or until the DJ put on Hit Me Baby One More Time...which she apparently doesn't find amusing). So much for the shorn hair as a new, clean beginning? On a brighter note, Brit's mother Lynn has showed up in LA, presumably to help her daughter gather up all the scattered pieces of her life. Unfortunately though, it sounds like Lynn's influence may have been part of what drove Britney to rebel.
Apparently Ma Spears has a bit of an issue with Britney's recent life choices, so instead of the preferred "cleaning up her act" Britney decided to razor her head. I suppose that's one way of disobeying your mother, though it reeks of teenager more than 25-year-old mother of two. Who knows what is next for Britney, but hopefully some of those good influences in her life can help wrangle the poor girl in a little so she can get herself back together. Meanwhile, I'm not sure where the babies are (she flew back to LA alone, after all), but I sure do hope that they're fine.

8Sometimes I forget shes only 25 (around my age), and that most of own my friends still do not know who they are and are still very immature and sorting their lives out. To do all of this in such a spotlight must suck. Everytime she breathes, she gets photographed. Shes obviously depressed and its sad that she lives this out for the world to see. So wonder shes done what shes done.

15Yes she is young and going through a tough time, but a large number of young single mothers with much larger problems and far less help are making their lives work.

Looks to me like Britney likes the attention. She goes out many times after filing for divorce partying it up and go out flashing her crotch to the paps. She's never with her kids whom we assume is with nannies. yeah how do we know that? 22Props Marisa & Sarah22 - I totally agree you you guys. I feel so bad for her. Come on, the last time I went through a really bad break up (much less a DIVORICE) I was a totally mess for at least 2 months. I just didn't have photographers following me around. She needs support from her friends and family, and she needs to regain her confidence. She also needs to be around people that are balanced and healthy. I think the majority of people that go thru a really tragic event (divorice, death of a loved one, bankrupcy, etc) end up coping in not-all-the-most-healthy ways. But it's usually just a phase, and if you can get out of it within a few weeks or months (and in one piece), you'll be a stronger person because of it. I hope this is the case w/ Brit.
