Well, I can name at least three people who are probably thrilled that Gwen Stefani confirmed rumors that she wants to record another album with No Doubt: the guitarist/keyboardist for No Doubt, the bassist for No Doubt and the drummer for No Doubt...Gwen may be more famous than ever now that she's got her solo career (and adorable smashy baby Kingston), but she's got her heart set on returning to the band. She even says she's got an idea of what the new album is going to be like and she can't get it out of her head. It will certainly be interesting to see how she incorporates her new sound in with the punkskapop stuff for which No Doubt was famous. Something tells me the guys won't mind doing whatever she wants to do, they're probably just happy to be back in a job.

11well i really cannot stand anything gwen stefani has done with her solo career. she morphed into a manufactured pop machine when she went her own way, so i am thrilled that she's getting back with the band that made her famous!

13She looks absolutely fabulous here and Kingston is too cute and I SO EXCITED for No Doubt to be getting back together!! Gwen on her own is hit or miss for me, but No Doubt is a home run every time.
14Couldn't you have taken the time to report the band members names? After all, it was their work on multiple cds that made Gwen a household name. I personally liked her music with No Doubt better. Her new music all sounds very similar to me.
(For future reference their names are: Tom Dumont, Adrian Young, Tony Kanal. And no I am not a "super fan", just resourceful).

18Good point, Jillness; I think it was a little sloppy and dismissive of the work of the other band members of No Doubt to just refer to them as "the guys."
I liked No Doubt enough--I wasn't really into them, but I thought their music was interesting and unique.
I do think that all of Gwen's solo stuff sounds like the same poppy stuff over and over. I've also found her objectification of Japanese women as silent, nodding accessories really, really offensive.

I like that she looks a little less overdone here than in the past. No bright red lips, no crazy swirly helmet hair. She almost looks like a regular mom!
21It should be known that the leader of No Doubt is *not* Gwen, it's Tony, "the bassist for No Doubt." Tony's responsible for much of their sound and doesn't need Gwen for his career.
Seriously, PLEASE give "the guys" more credit. All four of them have been equal parts of the band for almost two decades, are her family -- not her followers -- and deserve more than has been written here.
And *I am* a No Doubt super fan, so I should know!

29ok. i love this site and the reporting, and i love me some gwen... but you're giving her too much credit. sure, she's a mega star now, and granted she has way more celeb star power post solo career and post clothing line than she did with no doubt... but gwen is not and never was the leader of no doubt, or the driving force, nor the one that decided to put the band on hiatus and thus 'putting the guys out of a job.' each member of that band has side projects - gwen's just happens to get much more attention. and, even though gwen gets all the attention for gwen's solo efforts (obviously), tony kanal - no doubt bassist - had his hand in a great deal of that cookie jar. i don't know if tom and adrian did as well, but i wouldn't be surprised. hell, eric stefani drew the "harajuku circus" designs for some of the new harajuku lovers clothing offerings... proving that much of her work, as in the past, is a collaborative deal. also, people seem surprised that gwen is saying no doubt will record another album. no doubt never broke up, and all have always maintained that they will reunite for another album or so (some version of the breaking up/new album story has been circulating since even before teh L.A.M.B. album). that band is such a family... even if they never made another album they would still be "together." so yeah. i love gwen, but she's not the only one in that band worth mentioning.. and she's certainly not the ring leader. please don't discredit tom, tony and adrian as having nothing without gwen/no doubt by saying they're "proabably happy to be back in a job." i'm sure it's more that they'll be happy to have the family together again.

33How presumptuous, the term is a hiatus not a break up. Tom Dumond released his own solo project and toured with it. Adrian Young has been working with theSTART, and Unwritten Law.
34Gwen's solo music is mediocre at best. Her percieved "Solo Success" can be attributed to The Aviator, LAMB fashion line, her marriage/Kingston and self promotion. She doesn't shy away from the paparazzi like her bandmates.
Now this is breaking news!!!! More Gwen, King, and No Doubt. Less moronic celebutards. PUHLEESE, I'm begging here Sugars.
